  1. My run is #2 up to the end of Vol 1 which is #441. I have the Marvel Milestone and the facsimile edition of AF 15 and the GRR of ASM 1. Those will have to do me probably forever.
  2. I think you should also have Annuals 2 and 3 to really complete that run.
  3. It’s amazing how often that issue seems to have a right bottom corner crease. My raw 7.0ish copy has one, too.
  4. I was born in December 1958. Flash 105 also came out that month.
  5. Well done getting the sig on the back cover!
  6. I agree with the poster above. Crack it out, read it and enjoy owning it. A little bit of hard to detect glue shouldn’t detract from owning a personal grail.
  7. That’s too bad about the purple label. I assume that you couldn’t tell that the cover had been reattached before sending it in.
  8. I’m a wide-eyed eight year old again when I see these beautiful books. ASM issues 39 to 56 compose the indispensable run in my collection.
  9. I received those three issues as part of a subscription I had when I was eight years old. I cut out the puzzle pieces on issue 367 and glued them into place.
  10. “Write” as it pertains to the Marvel Method. Kane had no involvement at all with most of the stories his name appeared on.
  11. So you’re saying that Stan didn’t write all of the stories that carry his name?
  12. Depends on what you choose to believe. Kane’s story is documented fact. Stan’s doubters rely on opinion and hearsay more than anything else.
  13. I bit the bullet and bought both books in the last couple of years. Thankfully, I got relatively good deals on them. I also have Superman 127 and Detective 264 from that month. I would still like to get some of the others.
  14. The ASM 17-19 trilogy is a rarely mentioned classic.
  15. I was born in December 1958. A couple of notable books, Flash 105 and Batman 121, came out that month.
  16. Picked this one up today. Also posted in the Spidey thread.
  17. TTA 93 is a very hot book these days. The Surfer is soaring!
