  1. A beautiful tight, clean, glossy book with a spotless back cover and w/ow pages. There are no flaws other than what you see on the front cover. The white line is a surface scratch. I just don't know how the tape pull on MM's shoulder and chest affects the overall grade. I am glad that the pull isn't on the black where it would be much more noticeable. Thanks in advance for all your opinions.
  2. Don’t forget Andru. I’m not a big fan of his run but it was a long one.
  3. I just watched a YouTube video about this. Do as instructed in the above post. They won’t charge extra if your estimate is reasonably accurate.
  4. I absolutely love that cover. An Infantino masterpiece.
  5. 121 is a 1973 book. Way after the silver age. I don’t think there’s a firm line between silver and bronze but many think it’s the increase from 12 to 15 cents. I remember that traumatic moment in time very well.
  6. Here’s my raw mid grade copy. I got a great deal on it from a fellow boardie.
  7. Ouch. That’s a beautiful book. It would be easy to spot with the 1-23 date written in the D.
  8. Some mellow yellows: I couldn’t resist including a bronze age classic:
  9. I’m loving that DD! I would really like to upgrade mine but I haven’t figured out a way to afford it.
  10. Marvel Masterworks and Omnibus books have the best quality reprints and they look good on a bookshelf. ASM Omnibus Vol 1 includes the whole Ditko run and it’s back in print.
  11. Grading can be somewhat inconsistent so I would go by eye appeal more than the number on the slab. I would gladly buy a beautiful 7.0 over a flawed 8.0. That being said, I only have two graded books in my ASM collection, three if you count my Golden Record #1. I like my books raw, just like my...oh, never mind.
  12. The good news is that you could sell or trade your AF 15 and get minty copies of both ASM 1 and 14!
