Went to a local comic shop here in Tulsa called Shadow Mountain Comics. Walked out with this. Has moisture damage but I honestly couldn't care less because it's my favorite superhero and I'm helping out a local business in this tough economic period. Finally have the comic my board name derives from.

Hey Gator, you still have that action 1 you mentioned on the first page of this thread? Apologies if this has already been asked

Great copy, it looks like angel is attacking the Stan Lee sig.
And I guess I phrased it wrong, I was more curious on how much value the cgc label adds since I haven't seen many raws of this book sell, I know cgc adds a premium to q book, especially a big silver age key like this one
-
What's the difference in price between raw and not on this book? Is there a big difference or is it minimal to the point that both versions pull gpa?

Those fox books were gone in the time it took to hit refresh . Great pickups

All the above pictures just prove that Action 17 is the only superman book I want. Great books, I will join this club one day

What's bad is that the book looked fine in the purple label. Such a shame they would mutilate the book just to get a blue
-
-
Obviously the purple label brings down the sale price. However that just allows me to buy it cheaper .
As for how much, I haven't looked at enough restored books to really tell, and I don't really think some minor color touch on the cover should drop prices drastically.

Already at $14.5k before taxes damn that's way too much for that book....just sayin
With that money you could get a high grade hulk 181. But maybe the bidders are all bigger fans of cameos

I just bought a book from them today and I'm fine with waiting. Fortunately I got the email this morning so I was prepared for the long wait. Also due to covid-19 I am not going to complain about shipping times, especially since they aren't at full capacity. I do however understand why you are frustrated as they should have sent that email at the start of all of this. Hopefully your books ship quickly and you are satisfied with them.
