  1. Good to know, and I guess it can't hurt, but wouldn't they see the invoice which should say "mechanical" on it?
  2. I called today and the guy on the phone said reholders are currently at 20 business days, so mine somehow slipped through the cracks. They were able to find my submission and push it through though, and it looks like it shipped out a few hours ago. Hopefully no rings this time!
  3. I have a bunch of books currently being reholdered due to the Newton issue. The status on them has been "scheduled for grading" for four months now. Is this really the current wait time on reholders? Ridiculous!
  4. Are there any UV-protected flip bags?
  5. 8-31, and the other one, which looks a bit worse, was graded on 9-18
  6. I just got a few books back that i purchased on Ebay, both graded after the supposed "fix," and both have rings. This was even after I scanned every square inch of the listing pictures to look for them, grrrr. There are also a few ASM 300's that sold in the past week that have them if you check the sold listings.
  7. Pretty cool. I would buy some sort of UV film, or UV resistant Mylite bag for each slab if they make such a thing though.
  8. So they were normal size books in deeper well cases? Did you request them, and they still had the Newton Ring issue?
  9. I recently sent some of my favorite books in to get reholdered because they were in the older case. Well, today they arrived, and they all have really bad Newton Ring effect. I've read the most-current Newton Ring thread and someone pointed out requesting the deeper well case will solve the issue. Can anybody confirm that this works? My only concern is that the book would rattle around inside the case since the well would be deeper.
  10. I didn't see it posted anywhere, but at 11 pm eastern tonight on AMC channel is Robert Kirkman's History of Comics series premiere. The commercial looked pretty cool
  11. Mine worked on comics this morning. On every listing I clicked on, there was a special savings box below the price of the book that reflected the code. I ended up adding multiple books to my cart, then at checkout used the code and that was it.
  12. My first post, and contribution to the forum: 20% off on Ebay max $50 discount in the following categories: Collectibles, Comics, Art, Entertainment Memorabilia, Pottery & Glass" with code PROMONYCC. Not sure how long it will be good for, so I would act quick!
