Newbie and apologize if this has been asked already.  Will CGC eventually grade sports card like PSA?

book is at $305 with 6 days left.  geez who would have thought a coverless book would be worth so much.

This is a bit of an odd one. There is a star wars high republic exclusive with the cover missing and it is graded CGC 9.8.

Must be a one off.

Yes, I put it for 1000 for standard service.  CGC has come back and offered me a credit for the damaged book.  It was a very reasonable offer and I have accepted.  Ultimately CGC has resolved the issue very fairly and I am satisfied.

I refused the offer because they offered me the amount I submitted ($1000) it for which is far below the market value.  I had no idea what the book would come back as other wise I would have included a value of $2500 or more. In this scenario, CGC would have damaged the book, then buy the book back from me and then sell it for double the price.  Doesn't seem fair, CGC profits for a  mistake they made.  just to be clear there is NO DOUBT the book was damaged during encapsulation by CGC so why am I not compensated for the damage.

CGC has stated they will take back the book at the value I submitted at however this book is a holy grail book for me.  I do not want to sell it. In addition, I had asked for CGC to give me a call however nothing from CGC.

is it normal for CGC to damage books and NOT take accountability.  It is a fact the book was damaged by CGC twice during encapsulation.  see pics however CGC continues to avoid trying to compensate for the damages.

does anyone have any suggestions?  

I got the 3rd slabbing book of the x-men giant size #1 and the book now has permanent damage to the upper right corner which breaks color.  I am at a lost as to what to do next given CGCs unresponsiveness to this issue.

Does anyone have any advice or am I just stuck with a book CGC damaged? see original and reslab book pics.  if this was $100 book i wouldn't care but this book has significant value.

Its been over a month since I resubmitted my X-men giant size #1 to be reslabbed for a 3rd time by CGC. No response or explanation on why it was damaged twice before.  the only thing I got from them was to send it back and to wait.  

I am relatively new to submitted books and have only submitted about 100 books so far but is it normal for CGC to reslab books 3 times to finally get it right or should we be blaming the post office?

Hopefully this will be the last time I reslab this book.  will post pics once it comes in.

Do you think it is possible to remove the writing in this book and not be considered restoration. 

Wouldnt the big stain drop the grade significantly. 5.0?

There is a stain at the top of the book like a finger print.

The response I got from CGC was to send it to them again. No explanation about how the same book could have been damaged by CGC twice.

The 2nd crease looks like it breaks color so not sure how that will be fixed. extremely frustrating given I have to wait at least another month to get the book back and probably in lesser condition than i originally submitted it.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation, where each reslabbing results in more damage?

all i want is my original book back at this point.  no response by CGC at this point.  I asked to be called by a supervisor.

I finally got my X-men Giant size #1 back from CGC after it was damaged by CGC during encapulation.  They stated they would repress and reslab free of charge. However the reslabbed book has even more damaged than the first book I received from CGC. see pics of reslabbed book.  pics of the original are also in this email thread.  Has this happened to anybody and what am I suppose to do now?

Basically they reslabbed the book and there is even more damaged which was not there from when I first submitted the book. SEE PICS.

Newbie. Need help. 

I submitted a signed book to be graded for cgc signature series.  I also included the signature series creator agreement signed by the artist.  However the book came back qualified, stating writing on the cover.

How does the signature series creator agreement work?  any insights appreciated.

CGC stated to send the book back so they can press the crease and reslab.  hopefully it comes back the same grade.

That really stinks, email cgc immediately.

I have a similar situation and got back my x-men giant size #1 and it came back with a 1 and half inch crease on the upper right corner.  not sure if it was damaged in shipping.  There was only one book in the package and it was wrapped in bubble wrap. I called CGC however they stated to send pics so they can evaluate. See below and after pictures.  does anyone know the resolution for these cases.
