Greetings
I will be doing both as a dealer , with a good stock of odd Gold especially WWII covers, weak on silver though , My friend Rob is also doing both shows and he is really good on silver , the other dealers LOVE him, he tends to be very fair on those books
Boston does have that New "Entertainment Show" Mentality However it is still kind of a hybrid between the old school show and the NEW celebrity heavy show. I totally agree by the way. I don't like the celebrity shows, too much emphasis on movie and tv stars and too little on comics
Boston has Some good old time dealers, (Myself included) , I spent a lot of money there last year, so there is definitely some good buying
Terrificon Definitely! has that old school feel, plus free parking, plus its in the casino which has great food, and has easy access
If its one or the other, check out the exhibitors list and see which has the better selection of dealers that would work for you
As far as I know, none of the real heavy Hitter Golden age guys do either
I have never done plastic city
Hope to see you at one or the other

Looks Like this is shaping up to be a good show
Some of the Better WW Chicago dealers are going to be there,
I can't unfortunately , Too many Chicago's this year for me .
I was at C2E2 and I thought sales were off last year And I had better stock
3 shows is too many, dilutes the buyer pool
Good Luck too my many friends , Both sellers and buyers

Golden memories will Be there also , With some Stunning golden age WORTH THE TRIP FOR ANY COLLECTOR !
Yes I LOVE, LOVE! WW Chicago, EASILY their best show, But I just did c2e2 and I can't do two 2,000 mile round trips to the same city in one Year
Plus the philly market has the worlds best Donuts
Yeah, I know probably not the smartest move to base business decision on Donuts, But , Hey, it works for Homer

I think we are in the middle of the "Convention Wars" With so many conventions and so many conflicts, the promoters in the Hot zones, are playing things pretty close o the vest, Remember There is another show in the Stephans center In june, so maybe they just want to prevent poaching \\
If you are thinking this is indicative of some problem with WW, they just announced 4 new shows for 2019
My next stop : Gem City in Dayton this weekend, .Booth A1 Hope to see some old friends and make some new ones , I BUY LOW GRADE GOLD!!

Awesome con Washington 2019
Wuld lijke to hear any thoughts on this show either from dealers or attendees
Thanks
-
Any thoughts? Any serious Buyers attend, Dealers ?
-
Their next show Portland has a superb guest list and the gold package is sold out
Cleveland seems to have a lot of B listers
St Louis Has Nothing and they have cut their ticket prices but its still 3 months away
I heard new orleans was packed but the dealers got scalped
Maybe they are Just Re-Thinking the methodology
I've always believed too many Movie/TV Guests suck the money out of the room

I did the ace Long Island . One of the worst shows I ever did , while they did have Cavill, Godot , and More of the Jla the autograph prices were ridiculous
Dealers room was a ghost town most of the show, I agree that these High dollar celebs draw so much money out of the room while the dealers subsidy their appearences , Unfortunately, however, there are going to be people who are going to making choice which shows to attend, a 3rd show right between ww and c2e2 I think will hurt both

c2e2 Mar 22-25
Ace/Comic revolution Hitting the Stephans convention center , wizard home base , June 1,2
Wizard world aug 22-25 ,
Wow , whats a dealer to do? 3 major cons in a 6 month period? Seriously, This year business was great, but definite signs these shows are starting to canabalize each other
Meanwhile the table fees keep going up and the customer base is fractured deciding where to go ….
2018 was conflict crazy and 2019 looks to be the same or worse …
Ouch

Thanks for the input , I enjoyed boston too, at the old location very sorry they moved, It was like Baltimore, A lot of character
Terrificon is 27/30 & 30 single days $75 for all 3 days with a free print
Boston is 35/50/40 $5 more at the door, 3day for $90 with 1 hour early entry
Also Tcon parking is free , Boston if I remember correctly was about $30 a day

Last Year I set up at both . I was disappointed with Boston , As I had previously done well at that show The New format did not work for me \
Meanwhile I did do Well At the Mohegan sun , This year they one week apart with Boston coming first, Any thoughts on how that will affect each show?
Asking because they are so close together geographically it seems counterproductive to do both shows, interested to hear the other vendors as well as collectors opinions

Thanks for the heads up
Its possible that's why wizard held up in the guest list
I would expect to see it soon , OR ???????
ACE has no Guests Listed yet, But if its anything like Seattle, and they advertise it right Wizard better on the Ball quick
Captain America- Chris Evans, Thanos - Josh Brolin, + Gamora, War Machine Hawkeye, MAN!
That must have cost them a fortune
The Convention wars are definatley heating up,
4 MAJOR shows in Chicago in one season! , By November every collector in Chicago should be broke
