  1. Did I do something wrong? Or are you just surprised by the ending price .
  2. Thanks - I appreciate that. I'll be updating it alot through the night. What is some stuff those on the board would like to see on the site? - Keith
  3. Hey guys- Here's the blog: http://3035centvariants.blogspot.com . Its not much right now, but its gonna be really comment driven, so please post. It might be easier to use than the cgc message board and give us our own place. Thanks! - Keith
  4. Would anybody read/post comments on a blog about 30 and 35 cent variants? I figured I would put info like past ebay selling prices, scans, etc. on it too. I've got a lot of time on my hands (I took the block off from med school), so let me know.
  5. I guess I'm one of the new guys...I've been around a little while, I just haven't posted or actively purchased much off of ebay in this vein until the past couple of months.
  6. Hey guys, Does anybody have an idea of the actual number of 35 cent variants there are of each issue? I've heard of 20-50 thrown around for the average book - is that valid at all? I've heard anywhere from 200 to 2000 for the big ones (like SW #1).
  7. I would definitely go the flea market route. I lived in Nashville during undergrad, and most of variant stuff is quite picked over. The best I've found at any of the shops are a 30 cent Avengers 148 in fine and a 30 cent Daredevil 133 in fine. On a similiar note, I realize that the price variants are hard to find, but I've still found about 10 along my stretch of I-65 (From Nashville to Montgomery and including Tuscaloosa) in the past 4-5 years. Does this seem to be anymore or less than normal? I would think that with two test locations (Nashville and Tuscaloosa/Birmingham) within 3 hours of each other, the variants would be a little more prevalent, but I guess the issues have just spread out more from here. Let me know if you do find anything-good luck!!!
  8. I was looking at the 30 cent variant table at http://mysite.verizon.net/psmerolle/variantlist.htm and I noticed that X-men #100 was a 5 in scarcity. Was it always a 5? I could have sworn it was a 4 previously. I just didn't know if this site was still being updated in that regard.
  9. I know, I e-mailed the guy. Lets see what he does about the listing.
  10. I know!!! And I lived in Nashville for 5 years before moving to Birmingham and I never saw one! The best luck I have had was in Montgomery growing up. I found a 35 cent Iron Fist 15 (gd....so not great, but still cool) in a fifty cent box. I also picked up a 35 cent Star Wars in VG there, but I paid book.
  11. Hi everybody, I'm new to the boards, but I'm a longtime lurker. I just picked up a 30 cent X-men 98 and 100, and I wanted to know if anybody had a 30 cent X-men 99 or any of he 35 cent variants of X-men 105-107. PM or reply to let me know.
