It has nothing to do with CGC taking new Magazine orders in at this time. What they are saying is that if received today they can get a Standard order out the door in 18 business days and regular orders in 60. Which means all backorders need to be completed with those new TATs. For some reason I believe them this time and had to put my account on no ship since I am not around. I can't win with them LOL. Get ready for unboxing.

I'm not sure why you put it on hold. I was told by CGC they are currently working on last years orders at this time, then January, February, etc. There isn't a snowballs chance in hell those new TAT's are accurate.

  2. No new magazine orders should even be accepted at this time until orders are caught up. I have a Standard order (since January) currently just sitting around in the sunshine state, and I guarantee you 18 days from now they will still be sitting there. In fact, I was told they are currently still working on last years orders....

  3. Wow...I had no idea this was going on right now. I have five magazines that have been "scheduled for grading" for about six weeks, so I guess I can forget about that for a while. Current turnaround times for Standard is still listed at 69 days as well. I have twelve more magazines to get graded, but I don't think so anymore.

Two of my last three orders had to be returned for the wrong labels being with the wrong books. Now I guess paying eighty five bucks to get magazines slabbed and waiting forever will help deter me from renewing my membership in April, and making any more submissions.

Companies can only treat customers like s#it for so long.

  4. I was wondering if anyone could help with this question. I believe this is the first appearance of Inspector Gadget, but I am not positive. This comic is a French publication (Editions Greantori) that came out in 1983 (same year as television show) and predates everything else I could find. Pif #797 came out in 1984 so I know that can't be the first appearance. Does anyone have any knowledge on the subject? Thanks

CGC must be "your life" in order to do a modicum of research in the most-populated area of the forum...?

I didn't ask you guys to post on here, and you really didn't need to. I simply want CGC to acknowledge the situation. But you guys all keep policing the internet, we appreciate your service.

A member for 5+ years now?  Surely, you're aware of this 216-page thread in Comics General devoted solely to Quality Control issues such as your.  I suspect you'll get a quicker response if you post there rather than starting a thread of your own.  Good luck!  (thumbsu

I love people like you. Did you happen to notice I have SEVEN posts? I don't make CGC my life...like some people.

  7. Alright, I had no desire to make this a public topic or discussion but since CGC has decided to ignore the two messages that I have sent them, then I will make it one. The "quality control" has been horrendous to say the least with CGC. My last two orders arrived with labels being placed in the wrong books. This seems like a very simple step to ensure quality...look at the label, look at the book....I mean come on right?

Anyway, I want my slabs fixed, and I am not paying shipping either to or from since this is the fault on nobody but CGC.

  8. Value - 5 books

    2/26 Scheduled for grading

    4/03 Still scheduled for grading

Sent an email to ask how long submissions take, was ignored, of course there were no problems with them charging my credit card. First submission to CGC, do not believe I will be renewing for a second year.

*** On a side note, I do not believe you should have to pay more money to receive your books faster. That is very bad business. Could you imagine walking into an emergency room and sitting down to wait your turn and then some guy walks in and hands the clerk a hundred dollar bill to jump the line. How long would that business last?
