  1. I need to get off my 1 point of contact and submit my books too.
  2. Solid copy, J. Still waiting patiently for your updated list. It’s been like almost 2+ years? Lol
  3. I experienced the same dilemma as Mr_highgrade did. Submitted my Danger Girl 2, Ruby Red for CGC SS for JSC. I was pretty confident at the time that it was of 9.8 quality, but it came back a 9.6. I decided to resubmit with a press after confiding in fellow board members and my LCS owner and it came back a 9.8 thankfully. Everyone’s experiences will be different and be mentally prepared if the book comes back lower too. In the end, I’d submit it.
  4. Good afternoon fellow collectors (3rd Printing):
  5. I was in the same position you are in now, but with a different comic book (Danger Girl 2, Ruby Red Cover) at that time. Similar to you, I never once took it out of the sleeve for 19 years, until I prepped it for J. Scott Campbell's signature at the Boston Comic-Con in October of 2017. After receiving a 9.6 I was devastated, so I resubmitted and took a gamble and had said book pressed this time around and came back a 9.8 thankfully. Best of luck.
  6. To My Fellow Collectors: I have been contemplating on acquiring a new comic book digital library service and I wanted to reach out to the community for your thoughts. I have maintained one with CPG for the past 11 years. Main reason is for insurance purposes. Thank you.
  7. I first picked up the series after watching Dan Rather on the CBS Evening News address the topic back in 1986. The snippet included interviewing people associated with the production of the storyline, etc. I was a Sophomore in high school when I started reading and collecting it. I eventually joined the US military right after graduation and 24 years of service later, I can say with confidence that this series definitely had an impact on me then and now.
  8. If I recall, it was based out of one of the 6 issues. I guess the only way to find out is to go through my 6. I haven’t slabbed the set yet.
  9. I had that very same T-shirt. One had to mail in for it. I wore it my Senior year in high school, which was 88-89.
  10. Ironically, I had the exact same book, which was slabbed a CGC 9.4 without a press. Decided to crack it for the recent Jim Shooter signing this past summer. After cracking it, I submitted it for the signature event and a press, which I did receive a bump to a 9.6. In the end, it all boils down to what you want for your collection. Good luck.
  11. Thank you, very much.
  12. To Whom It May Concern: Recently as of today, I just completed my purchase for the J. Scott Cambell private signing coming up. My question is of the following: Why do some books automatically bring up the offer of a custom label; e.g., ASM 601, but ASM Vol II: 30, 50, 51, 52, etc., do not? In the past I have had to write a hand written note pasted to the invoice to ensure that I do receive the custom labels. Thank you.
  13. Not an Amazing Spider-Man title, but associated nonetheless. Received today:
  14. Just received today, plus a bump, due to pressing. Enjoy the weekend.
  15. Thought I’d drop this in.
