  1. To clarify per http://www.mikesamazingworld.com/: Action Comics 251 On Sale Date was February 26, 1959. Three Mouseketeers 23 On Sale Date was March 12, 1959. Action 252 (1st Supergirl) On Sale Date was March 31, 1959. I do really think Action 251 should get some sort of designation on the CGC label (as all the multiple Spawn previews do...).
  2. By no means was I suggesting this as a prototype, nor any type of a first appearance. This one came out the same week as Hulk #1, so I think it's just a cool novelty. I mean, it's no Venomized nude variant or anything - nothing THAT cool lol...
  3. Hi there, time for my 2nd all time post. I have another question: would this be considered as a tie for the first mention of the Hulk??? I believe it came out the same week as Hulk 1.
  4. So I guess the answer to my question is - because nobody noticed it before? Feeling better about my first post (also feeling good because I forgot that my CGC username was "comics")... Thanks all. I have 2 copies of the yellow (no whites), and have watched these for the past couple of years - nobody ever mentions it and there is zero price difference. I seem to remember there was an Avengers comic (#6 or 8 if I recall) that has a similar 'variant', I think a pink logo. Thanks for all the fun!
  5. My first post, be kind. I have wondered for a while: why isn't Captain America 100 separated into a yellow title border (more common?) and white border variant? It's a silver age key and clearly different versions. The current CL auction has 2 copies up - one of each. any thoughts? http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FDEFAULT.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26pg%3D8%23Item_1324679&id=1324679&itemType=0#detail
