  1. With charges like that its often you are guilty (innocent until proven guilty goes out the window in the eyes of society in these cases) and then you go to court, and regardless of the verdict , you are still "the guy charged with THAT" .... its kind of a hard thing to bounce back from even if you are acquitted. Keep in mind also , that a judge had to sign off on the warrant based on the evidence presented to him to allow the arrest etc.
  2. Same but I purchased a few things at the summer auction and looking forward to comicconnect s November one.... there has just been a lot of auctions lately.. I feel like I have to pick and choose my battles
  3. Well at least I don't have to worry about bidding against you two ?

  5. I agree , I just got off the phone with Sue (I think that's her name) in billing and she was very friendly and helpful!
  6. http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=707911 what a page this is, Anyone know if and where it has been sold before?
  7. That piece reminded me of the red skulls trophy room in old man Logan, with all the dead heroes signature items. It's quite cool
  8. As mentioned, I don't think there are many solutions that wouldn't upset someone,, it's just a guess , but maybe comiclink would wave their 10% sellers fee to try and appease the sellers?
  9. It does, but it goes pretty quickly , it eliminates sniping as well, but you have to be on top of it and doesn't allow time for thought. Perhaps I should recant my previous statement and instead say that "as I love all three of the auction houses (and their willingness to give me time payment s ?) , my preferred method of bidding is comicconnect, followed by heritage, and then comiclink"
  10. It's a very interesting piece with tremendous providence, owned and displayed by Harry Donefeld... I wouldn't even know where to start with an approximate estimate for its value, 100k?? Anyway speaking of Donefeld , it reminds me of a good book about him called 'men of tomorrow ' in case anyone is interested in a good book about the beginning of dc comics and it's first publisher. And nothing against comiclink or heritage , but I for one prefer the 'extended bidding' over at comicconnect...... I feel it maximizes sales numbers for sellers, and totally eliminates sniping for buyers
  11. I think that's a pretty sweet deal you got on the alias Michael gaydos piece , it's super cool!
  12. Thank you for not running the bids up any further, I had a max bid of 4200 on it,,,, I had my heart set on the piece
  13. Hopefully the auctions worked out well for all buyers and sellers tonite, I came away with the guardians of the galaxy 18 cover at right around what I wanted to spend on it. Good times exchanging comments with you folks!
  14. Very happy to add another Ed McGuiness piece to the collection , cover to guardians of the galaxy 18
  15. Good on you guys for making that right for the sellers !
  16. After all the auctions this summer , I would need a 55 month payment plan in order to complete the transaction
  17. Ugh am I the only one here with out Jim lee xmen card art?
