  1. Yes...I was quite interested in lots of those hg Tecs...but held off...prices very high IMO. Congrats to buyer and seller both!
  2. It's my understanding that Fox used pink newsprint to cut costs occasionally...
  3. There's no messing with Rick...he has left a sad trail of disappointed bidders behind him...
  4. I'm not certain but weren't some of the PLs printed on pink pages? Those are both killer books!
  5. Well, I thought the 35 ended tomorrow...when I asked the question I didn't realize that the auction had ended and was looking for perspective on the book to determine what my final bidding strategy was going to be....and I ended up winning it with my bid that stuck for the past week or so. Lucky for me it did not spike up as I really wanted in on the 35. I saw the notes but like that it is a blue label and presents well. I'm happy with it!
  6. I was surprised it went that high but congrats to buyer and seller. Any thoughts on the Tec 35?
  7. And the classic makes the thread!!! What a great one...
  8. I'm partial to this book...that's a beauty! You dont see this one very often in this super nice condition... GLWTS!!
  9. Good for you!! Have fun with it...and send any interesting Bats or Tecs to the boards!
  10. Congrats on a great book, GCG! I need to reach out to Jaydog next time I'm on the fence on a major purchase...we all need a little push now and then!
  11. FYI I have the Bats 15 and World's Finest 10 Reilly books (both CGC'd as SF copies). Neither have the name stamp on the back, although the WF has a date code on fc. Unsure if there was a difference between the books he picked up himself vs. those his parents bought after he went off to the service.
  12. I think that is Tec 50, which is also slightly "leftover"...we should go in the time machine and take those old books off that guys hands for a nickel each so he can be current...
  13. Joe, I love the Bethlehem books also...curious if you have any interesting stories to share about finding and buying it?
  14. I love the story of Jim Streeter! I just bought a copy of this issue as well as the Action issue which came out the same month as these were his first 2 stories! Great book!
