Agreed. We spent a good amount of time at his booth speaking with him and his wife. Just genuinely nice people. My cousin has been out of the game for 30 years so I introduced him to AH work and he ended up getting one done as well. Extremely happy with my experience overall.

At least at SDCC, there was a CGC witness who was thrilled to be standing at the JSC booth pretty much all day. You tell them CGC, they take more money, and fill out a special card with the info the booth needs (how many you paid to have graded). CGC rep walks you over to the line at the CGC booth, then returns to JSC to grab more of us suckers who want to get them graded.

Yeah I was taken aback by the extra $30 per book. I had bought the two Batman 50s as well so I walked up with 12 books. At first I didn’t put two and two together due to being pretty beat from three days with the family at Disney. Granted I’ve never bought from his table before as I tend to buy unsigned from his website. Hearing what I spent within 5 min of being there Thursday, plus cgc and pressing fees left a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t plan to buy from his booth at a convention again unless he sells unsigned. I will forever regret canceling that original unsigned order. I just had to have them after seeing them.

Most of mine should be ok with a press. There were the standard bindery tears which are common in a book that size. I think there was maybe one in the set that likely will be a toss up.

Sadly I was always too late to get on the list. Maybe next time!

My thought process exactly. It was slab or bust when I realized they were all signed. I sent them to be pressed as well in the hopes that would help a couple of the books. The CGC rep was like you’ll get them by Christmas.

I will forever regret cancelling my order of ASM 800 due to quality control fears and also burnout on ASM 800 variants. I bought the Virgin Set at sdcc and took them all to get graded. Quite a swing in price.

Yeah I actually canceled my order. Every ASM 800 I have has some defect. These will be no different. The covers never truly wowed me, and I have variant fatigue with this arc now.
