  1. Love this thread! Can't get even of them obscure indie books, actually I prefer hunting these instead of common hero books. Here's one to add to the list, I believe this book could be a Earthworm Jim prototype appearance. They Called Him Evil by Doug Tennapel cover date 1991, which features a villain called Evil the Cat from EWJ! Recently pick this up with some other fun ones
  2. I'll join in the fun here! Last Sunday at the Cali Comic Con I was able to nab up this tasty tidbit from the late 90's, Danger Girl 2 smoking gun platinum edition I been seeking
  3. Simply amazing! Oh if your ever down in Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach check out McFly's Comics for those back issues of Eerie and Creepy Mags!
  4. Here's my copy of that issue on page 83 and 84, looks like I have the full story!
  5. Very Nice! Are those yellow blindings customs? Never knew about those, what issues do they hold?
  6. I have this issue, one of my favorites covers among the silliest of NL! Here's some sights of my key issues from that era! I'll check if my issue has that first pressing variant article.
  7. I have them in Top Loaders, normally these are around $2 in shops, but on Amazon you can get a pack of 20 for around $33, they are in a variety of sizes from golden age to even treasury size comics
  8. Last bits of the Comic room, maybe I should just open up shop here in my living room hahahaha
  9. Truly a unique and fun preview night! Here's some of the books that caught my eye!
  10. Thank you guys for this fine treat this evening at the Stereo Brewing, big shout out to Foolkiller for picking up the much appreciated tab on food and drinks! Can't wait for the main event tomorrow!!! See ya all bright and early! Here's my cool short box pin #72
  11. Thanks! Yeah I love having everything in the open, it's a little piece of heaven just coming home from work and relaxing to the sights of childhood dreams! I haven't ever had the fear of anything getting stolen since I'm the only one that knows about this and a guess now a couple of you guys from the forum hahaha. Plus I live in one of the safest city in Orange County
  12. Haven't posted here in awhile, I'm mostly just a lurker around these parks, but here's a update on my comic room this past year!
  13. This is very exciting! I'll be coming from Fountain Valley to check out this sweet festival of funny books!
  14. I'll check out the place on Sat before the big show on Sunday
  15. All my friends have walked thru the comic room and think it's some kind of museum haha, always asking if they can be in my will
  16. I love Uncle Scrooge, funnest and most interesting Disney character in my opinion! My favorite comic book read ever is the Life and Times of Scrooge Mcduck that ran from issues 285 thru 296, the storyline explains from how he earned his number #1 dime and to find what true riches really are, perfectly told and drawn by the great Dona Rosa. These books took me forever to find also, I remember reading a comic shop news letter stating how hot these books were, never found a full set at any cons or shops, tracking down the single issues took me close to 20 years, 1996 to 2015 but so worth it
  17. Oh back in the 90's, the last week of the month was when the latest issue of Wizard would pop up and that would be the first thing that got into my hands, loved every feature they had, cast calling, homemade toys, 1/2 mail away comics, market watch, month's top ten back issues and the price guide itself. Heard that Wizard Magazine might be back in physical form, hope they could bring back the wonder and magic of the good old days
  18. The Batwing's just balancing on top of the middle Absolute Sandman and it sits quite well evenly, did a couple of rumble test and so far so good. Well thanks for all your kind comments, I feel most welcome here! Here's a couple more angles of the room, oh the last pic on the end is my roommate who has 1/4 of the remaining section of the living room, she's holding up my recent purchases of 1st Deadman and Doom Patrol
  19. Thanks! Yeah I converted 3/4 of the living room this way, my other roommate she has the rest , the hoverboard was modified a little to give it a more film accurate look by actual light green stripes and a thicker pink safety strap.
  20. Well newbie here, always wanted to hear what others have to say about collecting this awesome hobby, didn't want to overload on the pics but what's ya all thoughts on my comic room?
