  1. I dunno... looks like he may already be a bit late! That's a fantastic cover though!!! Love it!
  2. Just picked up: CRIMINALS ON THE RUN V4#4 - Killer Shooting a shark in the FACE cover!
  3. Oh, BTW... there is a reprint of that book I just posted from 1990 - in 3D at that! This is a copy on ebay now for a few $'s.
  4. Here's one that pops up occasionally that just ended in my favor. Seems fitting, as I was at Fenway last night! SPORT THRILLS #11: Sorry for the image, but the one on the listing was so big so I had to try and d-load it and edit it and that's just not my thing. Here's the listing if you want a better shot of it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/190691538197?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649&autorefresh=true&autorefresh=true
  5. I like the colors on the #12 better. I'm thinking of setting up another group display or 2. Maybe I'll grab my TT run!
  6. Great Bettie Page cover. The TT is a great run. I need to get my greedy hands on a #11!
  7. I think you'll be ok. I just got in all the books I posted over the last week yesterday! And speaking of posting early, I won this one last night. There are a bunch of them on ebay, but I was looking for an affordable one that presents well and I think I found it: CONTACT COMICS #7 I actually was flipping through my Contact #8 the other day, and the Tommy Tomahawk story is quite insane. These Indians get in planes and shout "CHEROKEE!!!!" as they take on the Japanese. It's hysterical! Now... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF A CONTACT #5?!?!?! It's the only issue I need to complete the whole Contact run!!!!
  8. Holy on a stick, they are BEAUTIFUL!!! That's a sharp looking 3.5.
  9. Nice pickup. I thought of bidding on that Target Western book because it's a bit nicer than my current copy (mine is cut much closer to the text on the bottom) but I passed. Glad it's going to a nice home!
  10. So... the addiction continues... Just won these 2 off the bay: School-Day Romances #2 Confessions of Love #11
  11. Well, he was an art director for a while, right? Oh, and I haven't forgotten about compiling a list either. Just been a tad busy. I hope to start of that sometime soon.
  12. Confessions of Love #4 - Tough black cover. I love that everyone is laughing at this guy! This ought to be a good one...
  13. No rest for the wicked here! Here's a few romance covers that don't come up all that often. TOP LOVE STORIES #5 - I totally love the colors on this cover. As if the "captain's" shirt wasn't enough you've got the green water on the purple pool! And what's going on here? People in the pool and in suits? This copy is a tad worn, but I'll take it now and upgrade later if given the chance. I've got 1 more to follow....
  14. Just got my TARGET book in yesterday, so I switched my Contact Comics display up for a smaller one: Oh, and I know these aren't LB Cole covers, but this is what I was referring to. I knew I had a few of these books but I forgot the importance - they aren't LB covers but he did some INTERIOR work here! ALL LOVE #24 REAL LOVE #24: I forget if I've posted by Target v.9 #12 here before, but this is a decent shot of it, so why not:
  15. Apparently that dude in white troubled the heroes of TARGET COMICS a few times. This is LB Cole's 1st TARGET cover, vol. 8 #10 (it's the mycomicshop.com copy): And just for the hell of it, take a look at the cover to the prior issue! Dude is flying! And this horse isn't gonna land too pretty either! At least someone's getting punched for it...
  16. drbanner - that Suspense #8 is stellar! Congrats!!! I grabbed this one off of ebay last night for a decent deal: I think the covers that "might" be his were Real Love #24, and maybe another from that run. I'll check when I get home tomorrow. I'll see what I can do about compiling a list. I'm trying to run a report out of my ComicBase database that has all of LB's covers. He's listed as an official artist, but it only pulls up a fraction of where it's got him listed. So I'm running an advanced search now. When in doubt when I'm "working" from home on Friday I'll just come up with a quick list of issues in Excel.
  17. WoW!!! Great copy!!! Of the LB Cole "sci-fi" trilogy, that's the only one I'm missing. I've got the Captain Flight 11 and and Contact Comics 12 already. I do have a nice copy of the sci-fi Captain Aero 25, but it's nothing compared to the 26!
  18. Thanks man! I just got home and counted all my LB Cole covers. I'm up to 158 covers (after that one arrives) and then I have 6 more cover proofs! Then you can add is a few others like the Overstreet cover and the CB Marketplace issue as well. There are also 1-2 I have that "may" be his but I'm not sure to count them. I can see myself hitting 200 if I can fill the gaps in my runs too.
  19. The CONTACT #2 is also on top of my CAPTAIN FLIGHT #11 as well! I'll have to do a "Sci-Fi" theme next... Although I am going to the cape this weekend. So maybe I should do a beach / pool theme?
  20. A few group shots. This Contact one I put up on Memorial Day: Here's a shot of my Cap Flight pickup: And here's a low-mid grade shot of 3 Frisky Animals pickups: A few more here at the link: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/109626500364845701059/albums/5070782748838694833
  21. Grabbed this one last night. I wish the condition was better, but you don't see this one often. In the past 2 days I've searched this entire thread and it hasn't popped up yet:
  22. Yeah, that's where I got the CONTACT #1. I passed on the #7 because I didn't like that copy. FYI, here's my Fish Face cover (it's the pic from the listing). The colors are much brighter then they appear: I often use Comic Base to get lists for things, so I'll try to see if I can get you a list of Cole's romance (and other) comics. FYI - they are having a sale if you or anyone else is interested.
