Awesome copy!!! I only need that one and the #9 to complete my LB Cole run of that title. I also just picked up a CONTACT #1, so I only need to find a #7 of that title to complete that run. However my recent "grail" pickup was a CGC 4.0 of the classic CRIMINALS OF THE RUN "fish in the face" cover!!!

Post that sucker as often as you want! Love it!!! I'm going to try to take a few "group shot" pics this weekend. I'm off on Monday, so maybe then. Oh, arrived yesterday:

Love those TARGETS! I have 2 of those, the V. 9 #12 and the V. 10 #9 (the last one). That MASK #1 is in pretty good shape, especially considering the paper that cover is made out of. Nice pickup! Welcome to the club! And what can you say about the CATMAN #31?!?!? Just awesome... Oh - UPDATE: The seller refunded the $$ $ on the School Day Romances book, so no harm done.

YUP - it is! Ugh... just emailed the seller on this. I'm watching the NFL Playoffs and on the bds, and I just decided to transfer my purchases to new mylars. Turns out this book has a page that has 1/3 of it CUT OFF and the piece is still there! Then there's another page that has 2 mini ads exacto knifed out. I mean, I got it for the cover but it's NOT what I thought I was buying. From a reputable seller too. I'll see how that pans out. On another note... my ALL -FAMOUS POLICE CASES has a spine split to the bottom staple, and that bottom corner was STUCK to the mylar it was in and not only came off but is STILL stuck in that mylar! so a VG / FN is now... what... VG- SUCK.

Thanks man! I know his horror covers get most of the attention, but I LOVE the crime, adventure, and romance ones. Especially the "poster color" ones. Let's see... here are a few others:

I've picked up a bunch of Cole books lately. This one I may have overpaid for by a few $'s (not much) now completes my Outlaws run, and yes that includes the Western Crime Cases #9! One of my 1st complete Cole cover runs! I have MASK 1 & 2, but I think every other title I'm missing at least an issue or 2. Also got this one in the mail today: And this one for a great deal too! I've picked up others, but these are the most recent.

You may not have many, but they are QUALITY! That Terrors #20 is sweet! I'm still missing that one. The Terrors @19 was my 1st LB Cole book!

Lovely cover! The color proof for that cover includes LB Cole's signature in the blocks on the lower right. It does not show up on the comic which cuts it off. You're the guy who has that proof, right? I think I remember reading that story (probably in this thread somewhere). VERY COOL!

Oh, I'll be hunting for more... But this one that you've got! LOVE IT! Haven't pulled the trigger on any Suspense issues... yet. I want to finish my contact run really. And well, if a few things fall in my lap along the way that's cool too!

Just won this one a second ago on ebay, TARGET COMICS V. 10 # 3. It's the only copy I've seen of this last issue to date: Has anyone else ever seen this one? Also, in the listing the seller describes that this is from the "EGYPTIAN COLLECTION." Anyone heard of it?

I also took a few pics of some random things. Here's 1-shot that doesn't show up often. Besides the shadow on the right side it's a beautiful looking comic. Love the plane fighting the opium smugglers! This is another example of what I usually end up getting. Great Comics #1, great eye appeal, just a chunk out of the back that doesn't bother me (especially because I got it for $50): Random recent purchases: Love this cover! GCG 5.5 too:

I'm going to see if I can get these pics a bit larger, but in the meantime... Part 1: Part 2: Most of these are pretty sharp copies. All mid-grades but display very well. I was psyched to get a copy of the #12 a few months ago. The #8 is usually a tough book to get not chewed up. I'm still hunting a 1, 2, 4, and 7 at a decent price. They'll turn up!

I'll start doing that soon. I've been meaning to hook up my scanner, otherwise I can always take pics quickly with my cel. I've been thinking of getting a few group shots where I have a bunch of issues of a title. For example, all my CONTACT COMICS in one shot, all my STARTLING TERROR TALES in 1 shot, etc...

That's awesome - thanks! I haven't picked that one up yet but I have a good reason to now. I've picked up a bunch of Cole books recently, but here is the latest: YOUNG KING COLE Vol 3 No 11. I hadn't seen this one until recently and found one at a decent price from the UK. I believe Cole did the interior story that goes along w/ the cover. It's hard to tell from the pic but the cover gloss is really nice. I also grabbed a CRIME FIGHTING DETECTIVE #17 from the same seller. Only a VG copy, but it was worth it. Other semi-recent purchases: - Terrors of the Jungle 17, VG - White Rider & Super Horse #5, VG - TRUE-TO-LIFE ROMANCES #16, FN - SHOCKING MYSTERY CASES # 58 G/VG - THE OUTLAWS#14 VG/FN 5.0 - CONFESSIONS OF LOVE #12, GD - BLUE BOLT #120 VG- 3.5 - THE OUTLAWS#10 VG/FN 5.0 I'm not sure how many LB Cole covers I have now, but just recently I filled up a small box with only golden age stuff, and LB Cole covers are at least 90% of it! I'm now overflowing!

Great books guys! I just got this one, and can't wait for it to get here! Not a pristine copy, but it'll be MY copy! I now almost have the entire Startling Terror Tales run. Only 3 more to go, 2 are easy to find and another I actually had but when it arrived the tool of a seller didn't put it in a bag and ruined it. I also threw this one in my basket as well...
