  1. 41 has to be the most common JLA in 9.6, so it`s time it started selling for a more realistic price. There must have been a dozen (sometimes the same book) on sale in the past year. Plus this one was a bit miswrapped. yea, that book is common as dirt. everyone's got 9.4's for sale.
  2. i thought it was from the monkey's? would that still make it "somebody's" or change it to"something's?"
  3. agree, already 1/3 of the front page is taken up w/ stickied threads, don't need any additional non selling threads taking up prime real estate.
  4. that really ties the room together
  5. Nope. if you're a subscriber, email them and they will tell you
  6. i worry with the crew here this could get pornographic in a hurry. nice books
  7. I can't seem to find a link on CL for a preview of their August auction. Ditto, no preview is up as far as I could see. i went to auctions, highlighted "all auctions" then typed in flash, then you have to scroll past the june auctions and get to the august books. clink website "bringing the 20th century to your living room"
  8. tim may weigh in here - but i believe it was cgc itself that caused this during the encapsulation process.
  9. can't hang w/ the heavy hitters- only picked up #8 and #14 in 9.4 and #5 in 9.2
  10. I was thinking you guys should go for this! Any predictions on what it will go for? $25k. will be interesting to see which goes for more the jla #1 or the b&b #28. the jla #1 and the B&B #28 went for exactly the same. $30k + juice.
  11. That was the old Tim, Rick! Don't forget, I've downsized my collection significantly! i suspect the "new" tim might own a jla #6 9.4 by the end of the week
  12. Congrats Timmay! Interesting...a PGX 9.0 becomes a CGC 9.6...wonder how the devoted PGX- bashers will spin this? they can't grade in either direction
  13. someone certainly has a jones for these early silver superman books- while the batman's haven't gotten a whiff.
  14. http://www.comiclink.com/./itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsubsection%2Easp%3Fid%3D1058%26FROM%3D%26TO%3D%26f1%3Di%2ELastUpdate%26ODire1%3DDESC&id=747392 i actually prefer to put these side by side (well, it's the thought that counts) and show why GPA isn't the end all either when selling books. these sold w/in days of each other.
  15. http://www.comiclink.com/./itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsubsection%2Easp%3Fid%3D1058%26FROM%3D%26TO%3D%26f1%3Di%2ELastUpdate%26ODire1%3DDESC&id=746719 congrats to whoever scooped this up- what a steal.
  16. any chance the census has some boo boos? when was this updated from? my #7 came back 9.2- is that reflected from the last update? from your data, it doesn't seem to be.
  17. I wish. That WH 47 debacle you saw is an auction currently taking place with SNE. I just wanted to do a sanity check that CGC's recent "loose" grading standards have officially escaped any reasoning. This One?? please splain to me, I'm a little slow wow- that's really bad. a one grade differential in opinion is one thing- that book doesn't look to be better than an 8.0
  18. graders note's don't mention crease on bottom RFC but do mention one on BC
  19. paging tim- is this the copy that used to be a 9.2? Nope, this is a different copy. Nice little crease on the FC bottom right corner, and looks the bottom of the spine took some impact or something. I wish CGC had been this nice to me when they graded my copy. Still, a nice copy, as are many of the SA DCs in this auction. How come all the good books have come out after I've "retired" from SA DC collecting? i was thinking the same- looks like it could've gone 9.2 given the two obvious problems. rest of the book looks immaculate tho.
  20. i would have bid on the #42 if i hadn't just picked up a 9.4 i paid nearly the same amount for- oops. i was close on the #73 but not the #76. is it just me or do the books you bid on always seem to get more action than the ones you don't? i'd say silver DC were generally softish but not the books I was going after.
