  1. It has been a long while since I last posted anything for sale on this board, so I’m starting this off with a few slabs.

    Here are my rules…

:takeit:in thread wins over any PMs or negotiations.    :takeit:also trumps the rare event where an agreement has been made but someone else just so happens to post “I’ll take it!” on the thread before I mark the book as sold.  So if you really want the book, don’t be cheap and use  :takeit:.

No Probation or HOS.  I also reserve the right not to sell to anyone who I feel is going to complicate the transaction.

Shipping: Domestic shipping within the U.S. will be a flat rate $15 via USPS Priority Mail.  Please inquire for shipping rates if this needs to be shipped international.

Payment: PayPal, check and money order payments are accepted.  Checks will need to be cleared first before the books will be shipped.

Returns: Satisfaction guaranteed.  I accept returns within 7 days after it has been delivered.  Item has to be in original condition as it was sent and buyer will cover return expenses.

References:  Here is my Ebay feedback profile if anyone needs some references. https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/boots_1000

Kudos: Although a bit old but my kudos thread can be found here.  Please don’t hesitate to add to it once you complete a transaction with me and are happy with the results.  I will be sure to do the same for you.   http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=85&Number=6791343&Searchpage=1&Main=302506&Words=escaflown4&topic=0&Search=true#Post6791343

    Thanks for looking

  2. Another one to add.

Although not comic book related, but he submitted multiple offers on one of the items in my store which I finally accepted.  After a week of no payment, I sent him a message inquiring the status.  He said he will pay me by the end of the following week.  Of course when the time comes, he never made payment.  Sent him another friendly reminder via message that goes unanswered.  Opened up a non-payer case and he never once responded to it.  Total waste of my time.

  3. Got this one to add here.

He hit the BIN on a ASM #4 Ramos Variant CGC 9.8 from my eBay store.  Even before I sent him the invoice for international shipping, he asked whether I can declare a lower value / gift for customs.  I replied in detail telling him that I don't control that since I only ship internationally through ebay standard internationally delivery, which means I ship it first to an eBay shipping center and they ship it to the buyer on my behalf.  He pays for my invoice and sends me another message asking me the same thing to declare a lower value on the package.  I had to go back and forth a few times reiterating what I've explained to him in the first message and at the end just asked to have the transaction cancelled.  This just bugs the out of me that he never asked about this prior for him hitting that BIN.  Also I even explained to him that I can't when I sent out the invoice and he kept insisting.  Now that I cancelled the transaction, I get hit with that non-refundable fee from PayPal which stings given the amount of money involved.

'twas my best guess -- appreciate it!  Perfection, yes : )

I always loved Jim’s take on Vampirella when he worked on Harris’ first Vampi series.  That was like a perfect combination with Adam Hughes doing the covers and Jim doing the pencils for the book.  Wished Dynamite would get him to do more Vampirella unless he is still busy with Tarot.

I'm going to get one of those book stands you see in libraries to read this big Vampirella book.

Soon. I like that Artgerm Vampirella statue. Dynamite has a Gonzalez version coming out. Sideshow has a few previous ones. A Frank Frazetta and a Dave Stevens version. I saw these two Japanese manufactured statues as well.

Is the large book’s content the same as the smaller book or is it all different artwork by Jose Gonzalez inside?

it isn't an issue for me, returns are rare.

Returns are rare for me as well but what I have been seeing is an uptick in where buyers make payment and send a message afterward asking to cancel the transaction because they changed their minds.  This is where my concerns are.

The 30 cent processing fee is always lost when you make any transfer (refund or not). If you have a business account the 2.9% processing fee will likely be lost.. if you have a regular account those fees should come back to you if you send a refund... there were times when I did lose the 2.9% fee when I refunded via ebay... sucked

Unless you know of a way around it, PayPal now keeps the 2.9% fee after any refunds per their policy.  This completely sucks.  How is everyone else coping with this other then not accepting PayPal payments?

I just got this modern Vampirella grail back from CGC today. It's a pain to photograph correctly, but it looks so much better in person. I actually rolled the dice and sold my 9.0 copy before I sent this one to be graded. Jackpot on the upgrade!

hate it when buyers DO pay and then minutes later ask to cancel the transaction because it was an error .... goodbye PayPal .30 cent processing fee.... :(

How did you get your PayPal fees back?   Last time it happened, I lost both the processing and the payment fees.
