  1. Another for the personal collection. In my quest to get the older Doctor Strange series in 9.6 or 9.8, I really thought I’d have to settle for the 169 copy I bought a long time ago that graded 9.2. I saw this one on ComicLink and it seemed the stars were aligned with the blue moon, so I took a chance and won it. With the market being down, I probably overpaid. But hey, I overpaid for almost every book I bought back in the day 😂.
  2. Thanks to all for posting those pedigree copies! So many beautiful books!! I took a look to see what I have. Oakland: Pacific Coast: Federal Hill collection: Oregon Coast collection:
  3. Wow! Beautiful copies. I hope I get a shot at buying one of those someday!
  4. So happy to score this 182! Now the search continues for the last two (in 9.6 or 9.8): 172 and 177!!
  5. Another Doctor Strange for the personal collection. I was surprised at the price on this one for a higher grade 1974 book (a tad less than $300). I love the cover!!
  6. A new addition. It’s been easier to find nice Strange Tales with great Doc covers than finding the last three I need to complete the Doctor Strange run. 172, 177, and 182 are just hiding from me!! 😂
  7. Another eBay purchase 🤪 A really nice, well centered copy of Doctor Strange Annual #1.
  8. Prices are down, and I was able to upgrade to this Tomb of Dracula 44 9.8. Hoping to see more high grade Doctor Strange copies show up. I don’t mind upgrading, but it would be great to see some of those last few issues that I don’t already have 😁.
  9. I missed out on a Sub-Mariner 22 9.8 and settled for this 9.6 😜 But honestly even the 9.6 doesn’t show up often. The storyline in Doctor Strange 183 is continued in Sub-Mariner 22, and then continued again in Incredible Hulk 126. This three part story arc eventually leads to the formation of The Defenders. Now, I’m on the hunt for Hulk 126 in 9.8 👀.
  10. Purchased this copy of Doctor Strange 173 on MyComicShop last week. This exact copy sold on eBay in August, and I somehow missed it. The buyer almost immediately put it on MyComicShop for $200 more and then I came along 🤪. Three more to go in the run. I’ll have to do better in my searches lol!
  11. Woohoo! Back in March I bid on a Doctor Strange 176 in 9.6 and lost out. My max bid was $1,550 but it sold for $2,400. Tonight on ComicLink I won this 176 in 9.6 and saved a ton of $$$ 🤣. I hope a few others in that run come up for sale. So close to finishing 169-183.
  12. The storyline in Doctor Strange 178 is continued in Avengers 61. I found this nice copy to complement my Doc collection.
  13. Won this 178 last night from Heritage. 🥰
  14. Another auction win. This was my favorite Doctor Strange cover back in the day! I loved it so much, I took the book to the air brush shop at the mall and had a t-shirt made. I wore that shirt everywhere and had to have been the coolest dude in town (NOT 🤪)!
  15. Another Doctor Strange added to the collection. I’m five issues away from completing the 169 to 183 run. Still looking for 172, 173, 176, 177 and 182 in 9.6 or 9.8.
