On the opposite end, I'm looking to invest $3 for comic book speculation. Please forward your 50 cent and $1 recommendations to me ASAP, I'd like to maximize the potential of my investment capital.
I'd recommend 3 copies of Dakota North #1.
It has everything going for it. 1980s nostalgia. Strong female lead.
And she has skills:
Dakota North is skilled in several forms of hand-to-hand combat. She has trained herself to be extremely physically agile and moderately adept at gymnastics. Her excellent physical condition provides her with reflexes, recovery time, and stamina above the norm for a woman of her physical age and build. North is also proficient with a variety of firearms, and is an excellent marksman.- mec3437 and F For Fake

Chaykin never would have occurred to me, but it sure looks right.
It's taken me a while, but I've finally decided that Marvel's 25 cent reprint romance books might be the absolute toughest BA to find in grade. Came across these two while cleaning up our living room during this damnable snow storm. Picked them up in a bargain bin in my favorite central PA store about 10 years ago.
Damn those Marvel romance girls are pretty. But they are always crying.
Consistently moreso than the Charlton and DC girls. Did Roy Thomas make them cry ? Stan the man ? -

Now $100 shipped surface.
You've forced my hand sir.
This book is too weird and too pretty to go unloved.
I've got a decent batch of Silver/Bronze Ditko horror.
So this will fit right in.JL

Early 70s Just Married & Mid 70s Love Diary.
The painted covers from the late 70s are wonderfully horrible.
Holy Flamenco guitars batman ! The artist for that Love Diary is Tom Sutton. Marvel comics - StarLord.
OMG !!
Looking through back issues of Charlton romance books, there are quite a few very psychedelic covers by Tom Sutton.
I wonder if he hung w "the studio" crew: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Studio_(commune)
or maybe they just had the same independent pharmaceutical representative. -
Brave and the Bold 33 (June 2010)
in Modern Age Comic Books
Posted
Hi there,
One of my comic book buddies pointed this one out to me.
Most of the books in this series are not even full cover price in NM.
But we noticed on mycomicshop.com and ebay that this book is going for $100-200 ++
https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ivitems=19798471#44400354
So is there any explanation for the price on this one other than "Zatannas on the cover"
