I can dig it. I just pulled out a couple of issues of secret hearts. All those covers are by Jay Scott Pike. And I got one that's a Gene colan.

That gogo dancer cover is so sweet. You might have just made a convert out of me too. Was looking for some other Silver age project to get into anyway. Probably start by getting some Teen Titans. As I don't actually own any of the Silver age ones.

@boomtown: a followup to this. Now you have me looking for the nice Cardy romance covers. Lots more Gene Colan and Jay Scott Pike out there tho.
As I feared this thread has now got me down a new road. Starting my OG Teen Titans collection. Not a romance cover, but a great Nick Cardy piece:

I think they just ran 100% magenta on that background. That hot pink is insane.

I don't understand why the for sale sections are not more fine-grained.
Which is to say. I don't understand why Gold Silver and Bronze are all under the same heading in FS.
For the seller it could make it easier. But as a buyer it distracts from my focus.
Methinks the Golden age should be its own section. I could see Bronze and Silver being one section combined,
But I still feel like it's a lot to cover under 1 heading. Why not:
    Golden age = 1939 - 1955
    Silver Age = 1955 - 1970
    Bronze age = 1970 - 1985

thats basically 15 years per age.

    I'd split out pre-2000 books:
    Copper/Modern age : 1985-2000
    Postmodern/21st century 2000-current.

    any thoughts appreciated.

  3. Apologies if this is covered elsewhere and/or if this is the wrong place to ask.
I'm still a bit of a board newbie.

Why are all three of these eras (gold, silver, bronze) under 1 heading in the for sale section?
I could understand if it was Silver and Bronze only.
    But 1939 - 1985 is a long time.

I do enjoy seeing all the golden age books that I might not normally come across if it was just
silver and/or bronze. But it does seem weird to lump these 3 eras together.

    thoughts ?

  4. I bought several really nice books that Francisco was selling on behalf of @ffasm58.
Francisco was patient with me as I was new at the boards.

I really appreciated the great books. And I really appreciate the good work he is doing
helping Brian by selling these books. And oh my god are these books beautiful.

    thanks Francisco.
