  1. There is skin off your nose as you are selling the book and therefore it's your reputation on the line as the seller whether you own the book or it's on consignment. As a potential buyer, I have no interest in the arrangement you may have with a third party, I only see the book that you are presenting for sale. If you don't agree with the grade, don't agree to sell the book.
  2. Reputable seller = stands behind all sales I can empathize with a no return policy on other outlets...cough...yabe...because you don't know what type of buyer you're attracting. On the boards, you have a captive audience of collectors that are for the most part knowledgeable and sincere in buying and selling with each other. Transparency is the best currency. There are sellers and buyers on the boards with stellar reputations built over time. Books are purchased and sold sometimes just based on a description, before the pics are even seen because there is an established trust with the product.
  3. it's been really bad since the last large update from a few months ago...phone, laptop, desktop, abacus
  4. Depends on the buyer. Minimal to no affect affect on grade if OW/W. There is no formula. Think of it this way, White pages may get you a slight premium but the "market" price is the OW/W page copies.
  5. Welcome to the forum and this thread at least 9.4 my concerns are on the spine especially by the lower staple. Press should get you to 9.6
  6. Copy on the left, Spine is razor sharp but the colors on the wrap are a bit muted Copy of the right, top corners slightly soft? I feel like this is a trick question. photos are a bit fuzzy I'll go left....no wait, right...wait... left copy

  8. I'm hopeful that the show will meet your expectations. Any suggestions for this show that you would like to see?
  9. you may be right...after reviewing the first and second pics...
  10. Can you clarify as I'm slightly confused...did you change the first photo/pic or add additional pics after the initial posting? The right edge ( by the words Hammer and Anvil ) on the first and second pics don't seem to be the same or the angle is distorting the good seized defect...I don't recall seeing this the first time around..
