I was "reading" in 1977 and "collecting" by 1984 so the squarebound format was long gone. Can't imagine hitting the 7-11 and seeing 15 untouched Silver Surfer #1s.

Sweet book that I gave a 4 or a 5. I personally wouldn't slab and put the money towards the previous or next issue in the run.

At least 7 grades higher than my copy! Interesting what James said about some of them coming with rounded corners. I haven't seen lots of these to get a feeling for it. My cover is rice paper thin and would love to upgrade.

I said 5.5 with that tape pull.

If I didn't have a reprint I'd want to see a scan of 20 more pages!

It's always a good time to buy Silver Age if you love it and have the $$$$. Or if the LCS has a 50% off sale or a guy is dumping his collection at a yard sale.

LCS buy for 14 bucks. Lotta ink transfer and a wicked roller crease that looks like a tear. Not sure if it is worth cleaning. Nice reader tho' as I could never find it as a kid.

I paid $260 for a stack of golden age that I haven't had time to go through so that Pep 90 was either a dollar or 260 dollars! 5 bucks got me that Jughead in the rain with no bag. Stuffed it and a Snow White Walt Kelly (52 reprint) under my shirt and ran for the car.

Okay this camera sucks.... I swear these colors are nice and bright. Part of the dollar book holiday sale.

Working on Lois Lane, Lana Lang and Supergirl covers. Action 252 is the only book that is gonna be $$$$. I tried to get one 10 years ago at the LCSs in town and one owner didn't even know what it was. Now he has a spine rolled copy on the wall for over 3000 bucks! A short run of Mille Marie Star Spangled War would be sweet! All Batgirl/Batwoman covers too! Wanted a Mary Marvel run but that issue 18 first appearance is no where to be found.
