RE: Frazetta. My old poster does not do the colors justice!

Just got a package in from Kewber Baal, an artist who I think is a rising star.
The Army of Darkness spread was the first page I saw and said, "Who the (*%%$% is that?!" Really great sense of humor, fun energy, and dynamic compositions.
Go buy his stuff over on deviantart and ebay!

Those look great up on the wall. The painting with the two flying mechs looks really familiar. Was it for one of the Rifts sourcebooks?

It was time to take a break from Kraven's tales and buy what I had come for...
I picked up a new toy there last week myself.
I picked up a fantastic one to add to my collection. Think I'll take Kraven out to true it up with the optical I got.
You'll have to let him run some rounds through it too.
I think Kraven and I have a date with some Tannerite.
Hopefully, Kraven gets to California soon where he can show his support for the recent gun regulations.

I am glad somebody snagged that Norem piece. Really cool. And what a bizarre bonus!

Suayan, LaRosa, Choi, Maleev... some great pickups this week!

Thoughts on this page. New addition to my collection...
It's got a nice big Jesse and Jodi, swearing, violence, part of a key story line, Tulip, the coffin and the final text about the fate of Bob...
Maybe a B+ page? or A-?
This storyline was when Preacher went from crazy, fun, and entertaining to HOLY (%*^$#, I NEED TO READ THE NEXT ONE RIGHT NOW!!!

I am a huge Norm Breyfogle fan. So today was a good day as this arrived from ebay...
A few pages-
The seller has sold a few copies this year. It has been mentioned a few times online and in Norm's bio--

I think you can see a bit of a Neal Adams influence here that disappears by the time he gets to Whisper and starts solidifying his own style.

Not a comic book, but....
Prints from Barry Smith's Cygnus portfolio in No Way Out (1987) starring Kevin Costner. (A remake of The Big Clock from 1948.)

Has there ever been a Tim Sale appreciation thread on the board? If I could choose a previous Artist/writer combo to produce another story Sale/Loeb would be in the top 3.
They are currently working on Captain America: White...
Malvin
That's complete. The collected hardcover is sitting on my floor.
Whew! I thought this had happened again-

I finally got this one framed. I think it turned out nice.
John B.
Beautiful spread.

Nice subtle choices with the frames there. I love the mat setup on the Capullo especially.

Been looking for a NEXUS story example like this since I started collecting:
Needless to say, quite happy to finally scratch that itch!
Where?! What?! Who?!
This is amazing.

Another friend of mine recently introduced me to an alternative reading of the end of Citizen Kane... That Kane KNEW where Rosebud was the whole time. But that didn't stop him from traveling the world and hoarding statuary. Or from going back to the place in his life that Rosebud represented in his final moments. In this reading, ownership of the object didn't matter.

Just received this last night. Wolverine and Superman by Keron Grant.
Beautiful. Keron is the current "fine artist" of comics. I have two of his Flash con prints that I love. That Supes is inspired.

Kav, Fantastic effort!
And big thanks to the other boardie who reached out!

Edge lighting... Dutch angle... amazing!

"This will be a day long remembered..."
It is beyond amazing to acquire a grail after looking for so long. Apparently, it is just as cool to see a friend do the same! I got a case of the "auction sweats" just by association!
Congratulations!
TXreplicant, that Spawn cover is awesome.

Just wanted to give Fred some kudos on a smooth, easy transaction. Go buy from Fred! Or don't because he still has pages I want. :-)

I have added some art by the very talented Joëlle Jones to my collection:
A car chase scene from Lady Killer #4 p11.
A magnificent two-page spread (shades of Hitchcock?) from Lady Killer #3 p14-15.
I was only familiar with her covers or pinups. These layouts and her "acting" are terrific. Heading over to Cadence to browse. Thanks for sharing.

I was lucky to catch a screening of Art and Craft and there was a Q&A with Landis and the filmmakers after. People were simultaneously appreciative of his skill and unrelenting in their criticism of his dishonesty. It was a really interesting situation to see play out.
