  1. Hi, Another Shadow pulp from the Strasser collection I just acquired for my own personal collection. The Classic covered "House of Silence", from July 15. 1937 Dwight
  2. A few new Shadows (30 in all) that I picked up from the "Strasser" collection. All are virtually unread, have off-white to white paper, and are now in my personal collection! "Death Jewels" August 1, 1938 "River of Death" March 1st, 1939 'The Green Hoods" August 15, 1938 "The Golden Vulture" July 15, 1938 "Smugglers of Death" June 1, 1939 "The Lone Tiger" Feb. 15, 1939 ....The only Shadow pulp that shows The Shadow and all of his agents on the cover....(I guess we know where All Star #3 stole its cover from). 3. The Shadow - "Fox Hound" January 15/37 Great cover!!! (from my personal collection).
  4. Hi BZ, No, that frustration still mounts. I have found many rare Shadow items, but no Rozen cover paintings. I just missed out on the original cover of the last issue. I would love to get one, especially a great cover. Thanks for the earlier complement on the books, I appreciate it. Dwight
  5. Richard, All are from my personal collection, and all are in nice shape. I now have nearly 240, of the 280 that I am after in order to complete the run..not including the digests (which I have no desire to get unless a NM group fall in my lap). I just added on the Partners of Peril..my favorite..see above. I might post a large image of it as well. Dwight
  6. No, Trimming is a disaster on the pulps as well. However it takes a keen eye to distinguish what is trimmed and merely a cover pasted on unevenly with the low stadards of quality control that they had. If the covers are trimmed on all sides of the pulp (on the pulps that have overhangs), it is trimmed without a doubt. Dwight
  7. The Shadow - "Golden Masks" Sept 1/36 (from my personal collection). The Shadow - "Lingo" April 1/35 (from my personal collection). Doc Savage - "Meteor Menace" March 1/34 (from my personal collection). The Shadow - "Bells of Doom" March 15/35 (from my personal collection). The Shadow - "The Salamanders" April 1/36 (from my personal collection). The Shadow - " The Man From Shanghai" April 15/36 (from my personal collection). The Shadow - "The Gray Ghost" May 1/36 (from my personal collection). The Shadow - "The Partners of Peril" November 1/36 (from my personal collection..my favorite) The Shadow - " The Broken Napoleons" July 15/36 (from my personal collection). ***LATE ADDITIONS*** Dwight
  8. Ryan, Not sure if it is that one or the March 1932 - "The Black Master" which is considered the first. Both are great books and I have a nice copy of that one too! Dwight
  9. Ryan, Yes the book is a high gloss silver! Thank you very much for the compliment. Dwight
  10. Two different views of the classic Shadow pulp: "The Crime Oracle" - 1936 - (File Copy found in Street & Smith Envelope) Just adding the original "Cover Proof" of the "The Crime Oracle"...signed by artist George Rozen
  11. "Lingo" 1935 Jack, Post a picture of your Doc Savage "Monsters", it is killler!!!
  12. Outstanding Spicy Mystery, Jack....Awesome!!! Here are a handful of misc. pulps!!! "Partners of Peril" from 1936 (white paper).
  13. I hope it is OK to post a Shadow pulp giveaway, with the Shadow being the direct predecessor of The Batman. The image on the left is a high grade copy of a 1933 Shadow pulp entitled "Murder Trail". The image on the right is the black and white promotional giveaway of "Murder Trail", which was distributed as a promotional item to newsstands in 1933, by Street & Smith.
