  1. All Circle 8 books do not have the distinct mark. It seems that it is a pretty decent split between those that do and those that do not. In fact, I have a few Adventure Comics copies that do not have it, but they did come with COAs.
  2. By no means a new purchase, but it will serve as a decent bump. Anyone guess what pedigree these came from? (sorry about the bag glare. )
  3. Long overdue kudos to Chromium...now, if I could only get the rest of my international dealings to be this easy. Kudos are in order for Darthdiesel as well. He not only met me for lunch in order to facilitate a deal, but he also picked up the tab! A true gentleman if there ever was one. Yet more kudos to Chrisco! No comic deals in the recent past, but there is one in the works for the future. Chris is a true ambassador for the hobby. There is no one better to relax, kick back some beers, and geek out with. You da man Chris!
  4. I will put another one up tomorrow night. This time I will try to make it a little more challenging.
  5. WOW! And they were all correct! That is impressive. Perhaps I will try a harder one for the second round. Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love # 3 Ghosts # 63 Ghostly Haunts # 47 House of Mystery # 210 House of Secrets # 95 Phantom Stranger # 36 Secrets of Haunted House # 18 Swamp Thing # 11 Tomb of Dracula 26 Vault of Evil # 21 Witching Hour # 24 Werewolf By Night # 40 Weird War Tales # 82
  6. The Comic Title. For example, House of Mystery, Tomb of Dracula, or Ghostly Haunts.
  7. Let's give this a run and see how it plays out. Thirteen different comics with thirteen different damsels in distress. RULES OF THE GAME : Name the Title As it Appears on the Cover and the Issue Number from which each damsel appeared. The first forum member to post a complete list of thirteen will win a prize. None of the images have been altered. They have not been rotated, flipped, had colors changed, etc. They look just as they did when they were scanned. I will use the time and date stamp of each post as the official score keeper. I trust that everyone will play fair and not edit their post after the fact. Partial lists do not count. I will give hints if everyone is stumped by a particular damsel. PRIZES : I currently have several hundred bronze horror comics and horror magazines, so it will likely be from one of those categories. I will try to match the winners wants to the prize. Let the games begin..... Good luck!
  8. Kudos to Lighthouse for some sweet books and packing and shipping that was air tight and out of sight. Not to mention, I got them during the same year that I paid for them! Also, Kudos to Chrisco. It is not to often that I can trade drug related items for HG Cap books, but Chris made it happen. You Da Man!
  9. More Kudos for Lighthouse. Six TPB's in one box.... Also, thanks to comicwiz for the free HC book.
  10. Overdue Kudos to: blazingbob : My first transaction with the blazing one and everything was perfect. Tight grading, fast shipping, great service. All the kudos Bob gets from everyone else is accurate and truly deserved. Extremely overdue kudos to: tkg2627 : I had several on and off eBay deals with Vince this past summer and fall. He is by far one of the best to deal with. Superb grading skills and the fastest Canada to US shipping I have ever seen. nochips : I had several deals with Stuart this past summer/fall and they were excellent. Great service, grading, and shipping. I hope to work with all of these forumites in the future.
  11. Kudos right back at ya Bonds. Now if only I could get other ebay sellers to ship that fast and pack books that good.... Excellent deal all the way around.
  12. I love those funny animal books from the eighties. I wasted tons of money on those when I was growing up. Boris the Bear was a true standout from that era of books. So once again, just when I think that you have covered it all you bring up something else. I for one cannot wait to find out what the plan is....
  13. I will second this...I bought two TPB's from JD and ended up with four and a bump to Priority as well. Thanks for the sweet sweet deal JD... where ever you are.....
  14. Joanna, I can think of just two words that can describe that....outstanding. Its like listening to an old radio broadcast, except that I am reading it. Anyway, all I need is a voice at the end saying: "Whose blood is coming from the third room? Will Professor Nefarious and Heiny be able to stand after they have their drinks? Will we every find the body that goes with that voice? Tune in next time and hear someone say 'Man, this has more sub-plots than an X-Men book!"
  15. If only I were Multiple Man...then I could be in it more than once...
  16. Just for general interest. Here is a seller that has a Batman #1 with no centerfold. I find the sellers listing very interesting since they are actually accomplishing several things with it. First, they are testing the market to see if there are buyers for this calibre of a book that is missing a centerfold. Second, according to the listing they are actively seeking a centerfold for the book, which they believe will increase the value of the book. Batman 1 (missing the centerfold)
