I just used the PROMONYCC code and saved $26 on an auction I won in the "collectibles" category! Thanks!

Yes, just shows up on the home page. They come up about once a month.
Best way to find out about them is to watch the CGC boards.
The other "pro tip" is to keep a couple $75 BINs in your eBay cart so you don't have to search around at the last minute.
As a side note... yesterday, I saw the coupon at around 2 PT, but didn't get around to using it till 5:45. Even though there were 15 mins. left in the sale, eBay was no longer showing it on my home page. Fortunately, I was still able to come to the boards and copy the code. So... thanks CGC boards.
I signed up for ebay coupon alerts on couponfollow.com. I got an e-mail from couponfollow yesterday at 3pm CST about this coupon.

Very cool!!
And you purchased the exact one in your link? I am trying to figure out why that one is so much cheaper than the Poster Display in the same size
Yep, I purchased the one in the link. Its metal. Not sure why the plastic one is so much more.

Are you able to remove the plastic panels? Any way I could remove them and swap for archival uv resistant plastic?
Yes. Plastic slides out through the top. The panels easily pop in and out of the brackets too for swapping art.

For your hanging art device, do you put your art in plastic sleeves or does the device itself come with some kind of outer protective shield?
Both. The art is in mylar with a backing board. The panels have a plastic pane.

Does that cabinet setup you have fit your CGC books? Where did you find it? How many books does each drawer hold? I'd love to have someting like that with maybe two rows instead of three...
I built it myself. It holds modern sized comics. There are a few companies that sell a similar product.

Display4Sale or something like that. I watched their Facebook page for a holiday sale coupon.
Thanks for the tip srezvan! I ordered this display and installed it this weekend. Each panel is 14x20. The viewable area is 12.5x18.5. Perfect for standard modern comic art!

Moved in to a larger house a few months ago. Got a larger home office and had lots of time to plan what I wanted it to look like. Here's one corner of the room. I tried to make the room as changeable as possible. Slab displays at the top, poster flipper for sketches, shelves for raw books, and a couple of options for action figures. If I ever have the time and motivation, I can easily swap things out.
Cool setup. Where did you get the poster flipper?

HI,
I have a question, and would appreciate any advise. I have quite a few Original art covers and would like to put the lettering and other printed material that's on the printed cover on display with the art. I obviously would want it as an overlay or something that would not harm the piece. I read thru some threads and used the awesome search function to no avail. This would only be for my display not resale.
I would assume it would be a letter artist? thanks for the responses!
I have never had this done, but have seen others recommend the following:

What would lead them to believe that the cover is married if it isn't?
Not sure. There is overhang on the back cover, so maybe they thought it was married. I can tell you its not married. But i don't think it matters with an extensively restored book.

I saw Burkey post this one! Nice pick up!
Yes, big thanks to Mike!

Got this beauty back this week. I restored the book myself about 10 years ago. Built a homemade leafcaster for the job (posted about it at the time, but can't find the original thread or before/after pics). Decided to have it signed by Stan Lee and get it graded. I used Doug Peters aka dscott aka Comic Sketch Art, who was awesome! I highly recommend using him for SS books. IMO the signature turned out perfect. The restoration came back exactly as I predicted (except for the married cover, its not married, but not a big deal), and the grade is slightly higher than I thought it would get (it looks a lot nicer than a 5.0, but CGC is really tough on restored books).
