In the modern era nobody touches Spiderman . Batman and Superman came out in 1938 had 7 generations of readers to keep them around. That's it. We will see where we are in time many more spidey flicks coming and spin offs . DC is done on big screen the movies were terrible . If Batman was such a King why did they have to prove he wasn't gay in 50s by inventing Batwoman and Batgirl ( Kane ) for Robin? Sounds more like a Queen than King!

Spiderman took over # 1 spot long time ago from those two. Almost 1 billion at box office for a not so great flick and collectors keep lining up to collect Spiderman out there. Love Batman can't stand Super Man there's someone for everyone. Spiderman is for me!

There's no bigger character in the world period than Spiderman. The price increase reflects the huge gaps that exisisted between A1&Tec27 and AF15. Its time the gap closed and collectors see that. Yes there are more copies but there are more Spidey collectors as well. He's just to big of a character not to climb in price.

Easy to find? I don't think so it's actually very tough book in good grade to find : love mine;

I'm a member on statueforum.com that site is virtual ghost town most of the time . I get along with everyone or I try to anyways I joined this site to learn more and share my collection of books with others. I can relate to more collectors here than other forums.

It's still a tiny number and honestly the only graded books people can even look at to buy because of huge cost 0.5-2.0 if they are lucky. Anything higher collects dust at asking prices imo because blue collar people just can't get these anymore. High end money collectors don't want 4-6.0 they go for big grades . of those graded 2861 copies, how many are purple, green, yellow labels? Quite a few I bet

I don't know much about this book but I can say it's original art drawn F&B cover I snagged this on eBay auction for peanuts. Can anyone tell me more about the artist what other work or covers he did on tmnt?

I was surprised when I got my first one Leo on how big he was. You won't find a statue set more true to comic art from old days anywhere. It is the statue set of tmnt period. Ive got these as well , had them since a kid my parents ordered them with coupon from comic thinking they were toys when I got them I was so devastated they weren't I tossed them across room in anger lmao. My mom without me knowing picked them up out them in drawer until about 2 years ago where they were uncovered. Anyone have info on these

I did I've got entire set and I can't see myself selling them . I loved that book but AF15 is getting unattainable at even low grades.

Traded this ( tmnt 1 first print cgc 9.0 )and bunch of batman/detective keys to get my Amazing Fantasy 15 copy. It was so hard to let Tmnt go as I'm sure I'll never get another but I felt Spidermans first app was better move short and long term. Sigh
