  1. Darwin: I actually don't own any Phantom's. I got a couple of the 1B signed. Jtwpantera: I used to think it was for registry purposes but now I cover it up so people can't track what I submitted. All they have to do is change the last 3 numbers to see what was submitted in the order. Just call me paranoid!
  2. Finally got around to taking a photo. Got these in a couple weeks ago!
  3. DCBS only has Issue #7 (Vol. 2, #1) cover A and B up for pre-order with a release date of June 24th.
  4. Congrats to the winner! Glad it went to boardie!
  5. Okay thanks, I was eying a 6.0 at ECCC but he wanted $1100 and I thought it was a bit too much.
  6. Quick question for you 181 guys, what kind of condition would $1K bring me that is cgc graded?
  7. Great book, thanks! Hope to do some more buying from you in the near future!
  8. I was talking to the Legendary people (they had a booth near CGC) and they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked them about Lazarus. I asked Rucka about it and he seemed very optimistic but did say he and Lark are EP's on it. It didn't deter me into getting some SS on Lazarus 1!
  9. Just the other day I just got a free 9.8 one when I purchased a Rachel Rising #1.
  10. How is the "W" getting carved on them. It has to be while the person is still alive. Are the whisperers choosing/sacrificing people by carving "W" on their forehead so when that person dies then they know that the walker with a "W" was meant for them? Maybe they are sizing them up and marking them.
  11. Here are my top 5 in no particular order: Zombie Merle (Michael Rooker) by Chadwick Haverland and signed by Rooker Thor vs. FFF by Jaro Selina Kyle (Catwoman) by Sabine Rich (Will be picking this up at ECCC in a few days) Wolverine vs. Hulk by Al Milgrom Black Cat by Natali Sanders (encased in CGC SS 9.8)
  12. What are these bringing? I still have some from ECCC stored away. Haven't touched them in 2 years!
  13. Anyone get the ashcans from Dark Horse? 3 Titles: Rebels #1, Aliens vs. Predator #1, Fight Club 2 My lcs told me they were 1 set per store. I'm excited for Rebels!
  14. Doctor Who by Corbyn Kern and signed by the 11th Doctor Matt Smith and his companion Karen Gillan Thanks to JonJesper and Dscott for making this happen!
  15. The problem isn't the OP stating GPA or listing sales. He didn't indicate that he is waiting for the book to be shipped to him from an auction house. He doesn't have the book in hand and can't possibly know when he'll have the book in hand. Is he selling the book now to cover his auction cost? The thread crapping shouldn't be happening - thats what this thread is for, to bring up issues that would be thread crappable without thread crapping. My main issue is the conversation he had with the consigner to the original auction in the sales thread saying, "Thanks for the great price" type individual_without_enough_empathyry got it now...it helps if I were to read the posts, ! I know there a many sellers on there that sell books *not in hand*. Pre-orders, waiting for cgc to ship, etc... As long as buyer and seller know and communication is set...I still don't see the problem. Now if he's being arrogant, bragging, etc...it just makes him a D-bag seller but still doesn't make it shady.
  16. I may get a lot of flack for this...but isn't it the buyer's job to find out what the recent sales are of the product they are buying? Yes the OP did give some GPA #'s...his current auction he won would not be immediately reflected in the GPA #'s...am I correct in "assuming" this? I don't see what he did as being "wrong"...he bought a book at a good price, turns around and sells it for more. Isn't this part of being a capitalistic society? It's ultimately the buyer's responsibility to fact check prices, etc to make sure they are getting the best deal possible. If the buyer notices a recent sale (for cheaper than what the OP listed) than wouldn't a prudent buyer take that in account when making an offer? I see it as the OP offered a "guide" to base his sales off of. Just my opinion !
  17. Two wrongs don't make a right. Buyer should return the item as well. Buyer did "assume" the grade would be 9.8. Seller never stated it would be. Granted the seller's communication should be better...the buyer "assumed". They were both wrong. Just because the buyer puts in the note that the comic is a CGC 9.8 doesn't make it valid. The seller's paypal account automatically accepts the payment. The seller never stated the grade (and he should have) and he should have communicated better/faster once he found out the buyer "assumed" he was getting a CGC 9.8.
  18. It's the one that's listed on eBay. This is the photo that was being solicited. This is supposed to be the cover
