I admitted I made the mistake of sending the final payment. I should have checked my pm's and tried to get in contact with him. With the previous payments the seller always responded saying he received them. We never had a problem with payments until the final two payments. You can see where I would get worried since I already sent in over 75% of the payments. Now as far as the 10/2 message via E-mail...I do not recall that E-mail nor is it in my saved communications with him. Even if that is the case, as a buyer, I was worried about not hearing from him for let's say 5-6 weeks. Again I did not realize this until after I sent the final payment. Again, as I stated before, after I send payment I always send a pm giving the seller heads up that I sent the payment. Whether it's a timed payment or full payment. After I sent this final payment I saw the seller did not "read" the previous pm I sent about the next to last payment. That got me worried and I looked further into his forum activity and say nothing as of 9/19. So you can see why I was worried when the buyer didn't respond to a pm and no site activity for over 6 weeks. So my only reservation was AFTER I sent the final payment...there were no reservations or inquiries about the seller before I noticed the "no board activity". I'm glad this only was a communication issue and not a "scam". As a buyer, I was worried because if it was a scam I would have to act as quickly as possible to recover whatever funds I could. Again I freely admitted I made the mistake of sending the final payment...I never denied that. In the end I would still make the paypal claim because it's what prompted the seller to respond to my E-mails.

Never heard of him. How much money are we talking about? Given that he's new and hasn't posted for a while, I'd be worried too. Starting the Paypal process could get him to respond to you, if nothing else. If you're worried about your money and no longer trust the guy, start the refund. This is business, it's not personal, so there's nothing to feel bad about. As for the PL, well, you have a while to wait yet. I started the paypal process...gut is telling me I'll never hear from the guy again. It's around $1K of money. When paypal sides with me I'll get some back but not all since it's been over 45 days for most of the $. I'll call the bank to see if there's any recourse.

You finished paying two days ago, right? After not hearing from him for a month and a half? yes part of it was my fault seeing that the pm was not read. I gave him a payment schedule and I kept to it. Once I paid the final payment I went and pm'd him and then realized that he hasn't checked his messages since my previous payment on 9/26 letting him know I paid that payment. Again, once I pay, I pm the member letting them know I just paid. I didn't check/realize he hadn't checked his messages since that time. Partly my fault but I also assumed everything else was okay because I was making the installments on time.

So I have to wait until 12/7 + 72 hours after I send him a pm telling him I'm nominating him for the PL. I sure hope he doesn't scam other people on here within this timeframe! I notified paypal and put a claim on the last 2 payments...I'm SOL on the other payments but I might contact my bank to see if I have any recourse.

Actually the payment dates were the following: 7/31 8/28 9/26 11/7 final payment I always send a pm on here when I send a payment. His last post on the cgc forum was 9/19. Is there a way to check when he last logged on? I realized after I sent the final payment that he hasn't checked his pm's since my last pm on 9/26. It's been almost 24 hours since I E-mailed him via the paypal E-mail info. I will give him until tomorrow to respond and then I will out him and put him up for PL and go with paypal. I know I won't get most of my $ back but this really sucks that he hasn't responded or logged on in over 7 weeks.

Quick question for you guys...I bought a key/grail modern with timed payments. I just made my final payment and the seller has not logged on since 9/19 nor replied to any pm's. I have not heard from him...should I be worried? When would you start contacting paypal. I know I won't get 100% of my $ back but if I was scammed then I would like to get back as much as possible. I will not mention any names (as of now) just in case I'm just being paranoid. Thanks for any help and suggestions!

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

I doubt a movie producer read one issue and said "Here's a sack with a dollar sign on it." He probably got a full pitch from Snyder. You clearly don't know how things work in Hollyweird! Scott scribbled a picture on a napkin at the bar with a crayon while the two drank Scotch and watched female midget mud wrestling. The producer was so bombed and horny afterward, he signed Scott up for a motion picture deal that night!! Great news for Scott! Great news for 'MERICA!!! *fixed it for ya* -
Thanks...ordered some blanks!

There are/were approximately 200. Then a bunch got signed without being witnessed or numbered. Those are now GLODS or GLOD candidates. There are QUITE A FEW in that category and they are the proverbial red headed stepchildren of the lot. Then there are the untouched, pristine few that were unsigned and not numbered. Those are your Universal blues or Universal candidates. There are obviously fewer of those and even fewer in 9.8 or higher quaility. So there's a spectrum of rare that needs to be acknowledged. I had 5 blue CGC 9.8's at one time...ECCC #1 variants!

John91C replied to Colicab's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
You can pay an additional $6.25 for twice a month shipping or $12.95 for weekly shipments this is on top of the normal $6.25 shipping charge which is once a month. I don't know when they ship (certain time of month, etc) -

They ship on a monthly basis (you can pay for them to ship faster). Also this is the first I've heard of dcbs cutting orders on this issue. -
