  1. "If you can prove it's not the book I ordered that would be VERY interesting. No, it was delivered by USPS today. Apparently, he's in Jersey and I'm in NY. Just a few miles apart" This is a challenge that I can only answer to by first messaging the seller to further gather the facts. Turns out, it wasn't the book because it was purchased from SILVERAGE12C the day before. KellySH didn't even send his buyer the book yet when the post hit. You have to reach out to a seller to confirm that. Did you miss this? It's all on page 9-11.
  2. Does the fact that Peck directly challenged me to prove that the Dazzler 1 he said he received, a different book than the image in the listing, was not the book he received? Let me ask. How was I going to prove that unless I ebay messaged the seller to find out when he sent it since Peck's claim was same day USPS delivery?
  3. Got it. If I say I'm not, then I am, just for saying that I'm not. Innocent if I drown, guilty if I float. Makes sense. Is the whole gist now that since I indirectly proved KellySH right by proving Peck's claims untrue, that in turn, I am now not wanted on this forum? That each and every post I make in any and all threads will descend down this same rabbit hole? Would that be a safe assumption? There are plenty of message boards where I can engage in free for alls just to fuss and blather with everyone. Is this what this is for me here and now? Funny thing is that KellySH mentioned to me that by inviting him here and copying and pasting his content that backed up my observations, I would make myself. a target. I wrote something like "No way, just proving my point". He was right, I was wrong. C'est La Vie.
  4. +1. Yes. I was too. I was merely pointing out that the punch line to all this is that the only reason I'm here in this thread is because I thought Peck was a KellySH shill; the very thing I'm accused of being.
  5. And the funniest thing of all is that I only got involved because, at first, I thought Peck was Kellys shill. The whole thing started with "Bought a 9.8, got it today, looks like a 9.8, going to submit it", an impossible claim since USPS does not have same day delivery. I thought the next thing was going to be "CGC graded it 9.8. I had it walked through today"..
  6. +1 Me too. Disappointing. But delightfully disappointing as well.
  7. Let's both be childish. At which convention are we getting together? Been a lot of them the past two years, have there? Any this week or month that we can both fly to? We'll just suddenly drop both of our schedules for something totally unnecessary, risky, and silly? For no reason other than to placate you? As if that's a thing I should have heightened interest in accomplishing; like an item on my bucket list: 1) Climb My. Everest 2) Cure cancer 3) Run a 4 minute mile 4) Placate FFB, whoever that is. 5) Own a NM Action 1 You're asking me to get in a tube with 150 other passengers during a pandemic. At least I got my answer that you are unable or unwilling to discuss comics. Perhaps I overestimated your ability to do that as much as I overestimated that you'd exercise rational thinking? Pandemic - Wikipedia I didn't create it to avoid meet and greets. Will that be the next accusation? That it's my doing? Also, can we do this on PMs? Aren't the forum members who put time and effort into this thread going to be annoyed, seeing it taken so far off subject? Littered with so many off-topic posts? I would if I were the OP or contributed to the subject matter of the OP.
  8. My posts were made with my typical intention. To assist a forum member, an OP, with my advice given to the best of my ability. Whether I wrote in the style of Bugaboo or KellyPoo or DannyBoo or didn't write in the style of either Boos or Poo was not even the slightest bit on my mind, nor did I think that my manner in delivery would be more important than the message delivered. Yours is the first request or demand I have ever received, aren't sure of which one it is yet, to present myself to a forum authority so chosen by the forum, for personal inspection/identification.. Also, I have never received an invite to any type of gathering of forum members. Not that I'm aware of. If I did, it was missed. Maybe in a thread I didn't read or a notification I may have missed. And although I did read the forum rules carefully, so I can abide by them fully, and didn't notice any language about a personal inspection, I imagine by a designated forum authority, as a prerequisite to register. Have all of the forum members been personally inspected by a designated authority? Or is this a new registration requirement atypical to me? And again, I gave you the respect of replying to this boulder dash, as I would extend to any forum brother. But now, heeding the advice of a very wise forum member, DomoArigato, I will turn my attention back to the books and the love of them that brought us all here in the first place. Also, if I might point out; there's currently a Pandemic. Since March 2020, and people are still dying. I really have no desire nor inclination to venture out to meet and greets. I'm as meticulous and protective about my heath as I am about comics. Can we stop dancing about and concentrate on the comics? Are you able to do that? You seem to have a good deal of knowledge, as do I. I'd sure rather share my knowledge with you and learn from yours than bother doing this. I'm a good dancer but I'd rather be focusing on comics, if that's at all possible for you and anyone else with a similar mindset about personal inspections. Is that a reasonable expectation and request?
  9. Yes. This. If the paper is becoming as brittle as it looks and breaking with flexion.
  10. +1 There they are. Words of Wisdom, the handwriting on the wall. And in no uncertain terms.
  11. The colors haven't aged a second since printed. This is the perfect example to use to gauge the degree of color fade of other 28s against, No printing smears either. What are the chances? What a great piece. Special. Exceptional
  12. Chip is not bad enough to drop this much below the solid 8.0 it appears to be. If this is submitted as is, I'll wager 7.5 is the result. But, most 6.5 to 8.5 #28s look anemic compared to this one. This is a special #28. The colors pop like few 28'scolors do and Idon't see any transparency. That is, the printing, the inks of the inside front coverthat are usually visible when looking at the front cover, whetherthe cover is closed or open. This one is beautiful, and the cover stock is still "thick". It hasn't aged to look more like onion skin than paper due to off-gassing from the pulpy pages. It not only survived beautifully with only minor wear flaws, but also avoided storage crimps and rolls, as well as the environmental type of impact that basement or attic storage can cause like transparency, yellowing, edge stripes, etc.. My guess is that the pages are either off white/white or white, and the book has no perceptible acidic odor. This is a beautifully exceptional 28 with Pedigree quality paper and it will sell for more than the technical grade due to the super pop of its eye appeal. Do you have more from this collection that yielded that 28? Post them if so, we'd love to see them.
  13. "OMG!! OMG!! I think we're gonna' see it. The Spinarooni.. The Spinarooni The most devastating move in professional wrestling today!" Staring at his gloved hand is an essential part of setting up this devastating and deadly finishing move.
  14. Plus, IMHO, he'd be foolish to give away at least an extra $2150 (after fees) by selling it for $4000. It's a $6500 to $8000 piece if he auctions it now using the same pics he has here.
  15. That wouldn't prove anything. I could run it, shill it up to $20,000 with a second and third ebay account and say, "see. I was right", meanwhile I put in one of those "buyer wishes to cancel transaction" non payment claims and its a wash except for the bragging rights of being right. The proof is only in the pudding if someone other than me scores with my pick/tip..
  16. C'mon now. That's deflecting. I learned about that yesterday in another thread.
  17. Offer him $4000. If he takes it, have him expressmail it to you. Run it quickly. You will make money! I'm not guessing.
  18. That'll be too late. If the bidding doesn't jump right from 0.99 to $5000 in two shots, he'll get 50 bids in the first few days alone.
  19. Sound thinking. But based on what is up and running now. Right now, The iron is white hot. Time to strike.
  20. It's a brave new comic world. My magic 8 ball says $6500 to $8000. Forget the past results. Look at what it would be running against for comparative shopping.
  21. All of the AS 1s currently listed. I'm telling you, $6500 minimum if run now, a possible $8000 if two bidders go to war. It's an attractive book. It would do well on ebay run against this current field of almost exclusively BIN listings.
  22. Potential results are not always about past results. Sometimes it's more about the other horses in the race than the horse you're going to back and currently the AS 1 ebay field is weak, favoring what ordinarily, in a better field should be a longshot, but will not be if run now against this weak field.
