  1. Some rare and eclectic Golden Age for sale (among other things). HERE Slam-Bang Comics 1, 2, 4 & 5 The Funnies 64 Weird Mysteries 2 More Fun 48 Miss Fury 2 etc.
  2. I was going to fill in this run but I've put it up for sale instead.
  3. I've got some books for sale. Some of them are my Gerber covers. Other curiosities as well.
  4. You are free to resell after 30 days of non-payment, nominating to the PL/HOS is up to you. Your disappearance/reappearance comment points to the guy who took your Avengers 57. At the very least, if you don't want to confirm it here....if I were you I'd PM the guy who just sold him another one last week. Yeah, that was the deal. I didn't see him resurface and buy the same book from someone else or I might have said something. But that's probably when he read my PM too. All I really want from him is an explanation why he didn't take the book. It's not like I sent the book before I got the money.
  5. How long though? I did PM him (and even said I would honor the original price.) He read it but didn't answer. I guess I'm asking how long I should wait...?
  6. I hope this is the right thread for a quick board sales etiquette question. What's the proper form for relisting a book? Someone posted for a book from my sales thread in November. I contacted them with the price and my paypal info. They never paid me. I still have the book. In fact, they seem to have disappeared until this week when they removed themselves from the PM. I PM'd them again this week and they read that PM but didn't reply. I don't care that they never paid, I just want to relist the book. So, can I relist the book for sale and no harm, no foul? Your opinions are welcome.
  7. And I think I'm going to sell a few hundred books from my friend's collection. So, feedback on my sales can go here now.
  8. Had a great transaction on the Batmans I sold him.
  9. From two boxes of a 35 box collection I've taken on consignment. Nothing is worse than Good+. All the Adams covers are in F+ to NM. Sadly they all have dirt and tanning from being stored unbagged by the OO.
  10. For me it is simply a matter of time. It takes time to compile and report to GPA. GPA can data mine the auctions for sales info. With static sales through my web-site, storefront, or at shows I would have to put the sales info together and send it to GPA in a format that works for them. It is actually probably a pretty easy thing to do. But it is one more thing which I would have to do...on top of running shops, paying employees, negotiating leases, grading comics, bidding in auctions, posting inane mess on comic chat boards, and having a personal life. I just don't want to take the time to report sales to GPA. You'd think they'd offer to set it up FOR you since it benefits them more than you.
  11. Just added Smash #3. It's a cool robot cover! http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6707405#Post6707405
  12. If I had that killer book I wouldn't sell my 5 & 6.
  13. Selling some books if anyone wants to take a look. Hit #11, Horrific #3, and The Funnies #64. Hit #11 is sold. So I've added a 4.0 Weird Tales of the Future #2 to take its place. Horrific #3 is sold. So I've added a 7.0 Tomb of Terror #15 to take its place. Some more classic covers there now! http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6707405#Post6707405
  14. Hey Gator, Do you have a rule of thumb for ball-parking values when there are few data points available? What percentage of a 9.0 price should an 8.0 book sell for? How about a 6.0 of an 8.0 or a 5.0 of an 8.5? Do you have a correlation you use? Would you include in your math mitigating factors such as presentation, page quality, rarity and pedigree if any?
  15. I have some books up in the VCC like a Funnies 64 and Hit 25 if anyone is interested in oddball keys.
  16. I love small runs like that. One day I will pursue that one. Of course I'm still working on the Hydroman Heroics...
  17. Me too! I have the whole set! Only my early ones aren't in fancy-schmancy VF.
  18. Hey Gator, I want to move some books from my Gerber collection to help finance my comics-related startup. I hope to do this sooner than later but I don't want to take a bath on the prices. Should I: a) Sell on the boards b) Risk eBay c) List with Clink or an auction house d) Consign to a dealer e) Give up Thanks! (thumbs u
  19. How do you make determinations about ask price for a book when there is very little GPA information to go on and no real source for other market intelligence?
  20. Nice group, Bill! But are they really forgotten or just overlooked? WW especially is an ignored character. Hopefully it will stay that way until I too acquire the trinity one day. Do you have a Special Edition #1 to put up there as well?
