My Liefeld's just went to shipped, great for the most part especially considering they said they couldn't press 6 of them:

Was a little shocked at the populations of the Youngbloods:
    Youngblood #1 - 74 total
Youngblood #2 -13 total (and 3 are mine)
    Youngblood #3 1 total (mine I guess?)

Why did they say they couldn't press 6 of them?

How is it not a “true” yellow label?  Is the signature witnessed?  Yes or no?  Explain, Sir.

I don't like comics with significant defects or restored comics, as many others don't. We all know the yellow label is still on these and there is a witnessed signature and that signature is good. When people say "true yellow" they are referring to the 95% of the green/yellow labels that have "name written on cover" and that makes it look ridiculous. Collect what you want, there are a lot of "cheap" qualified/ss labels out there for you to buy if you don't have a problem with it.

What’s a true yellow label?  Yellow label is yellow label.  Qualified Yellow just means something is on the book that was not there when the book was produced or, something was removed.  Qualified Signature is a yellow label because the signature was witnessed. There is no “true” vs. “false” yellow label.  Our community needs to move away from that idea.

Our community doesn’t have to do anything. I agree that this would not be a “true” yellow label and would not want it in my collection, but I would like a Spawn 1 yellow label.

  4. Placement, placement, placement. Signature placement makes all the difference in the world. My 100% biggest gripe is when I window a book and it is removed from the bag for a signing. I get it the creator/writer likes a certain place but I've researched examplars and know what their signature looks like and where I want it.

    Hey all,

I'm just interested in what more knowledgable signature people think about investing long term in a Spider-Man 1 from 1990 signed by both legends. For simplicity's sake, let's just say it's a 9.6 or 9.8 of the regular cover non-newsstand. I see these going for well over a thousand and closer to two thousand. Any thoughts on the ceiling ? I know Stan signed a ton of stuff and McFarlane has a lot out there now too. But a book with both of them is now not possible and only a set amount of them exist now.

    Thanks everyone!

I don’t know anything about investing in comics, but it’s still possible to make more of these as Todd still signs (should have an upcoming signing in December). Yellow labels can be cracked and signed by CGC or a facilitator.

Fantastic. Now are you buying them sending them off or are just picking them as you find them?

Most of these I had done myself in person or through a facilitator (still hope to get a JRSR I have in through a private signing). I have purchased some, a few more than I would like due to Covid.

For the ones where all the creators have passed- looks like the Rawhide Kids and Two-Gun Kids unfortunately are in that boat - a thought would be to have them signed by Marv Wolfman, who was Marvel's Editor-In-Chief during the time period.

Good call on the Wolfman’s. I’m hoping that he would write “editor-in-chief” below his sig so it gets noted by CGC  on the header. I have almost all of the westerns, but missing 1 or 2 which is what I have for him. It’s been a bit of a ride since I do collect other SS comics and I don’t want to spend my whole cash allotment on 30c’ers.
