  1. Congrats on getting a couple before the price blew up.. I was ready and waiting for release but it was already going nuts before the preorder opened.
  2. The catwoman like pose of supes over his prey (claw marks and all) with odd looking face, bunny rabbit teeth and glowing wrist bracelets just don't work for me personally...
  3. I agree.. Looks odd.. Better than most of the other covers for this issue.. But that isnt saying much
  4. If their is a store variant with a better cover than than the standard issue, than that's the one I will chase every time... I don't care about value, but a good cover on a key issue especially is far more appealing to me than the same comic from the standard print run with a mediocre cover . As long as there are others like me who are willing to pay for great covers, I don't see good store variants crashing.. Those who purchase store variants, 1:100 etc solely speculating value on scarcity - that could have a rebalance is there is a bit of a flood.
  5. seriously.. i preorded these ages ago ... and some people already have slabs... sigh... comic xposure .. .ive not used them before - but not read great things.
  6. AWESOME !! now i just have to hope amongst hope my virgin copy arrives safely .
  7. could it be be one of those rare instances these days when a 3000 limited distribution comic is more rare than a 1:100 ?... i reckon the 1000 print runs will be ! how many regular subscribers of ASM have asked for extras in their pull box ? i reckon more than a couple.
  8. 795 may well be the hard to find one in the future. May be recognised as first Norman Osborne as carnage or something Or limited variants of 798 I'm still also hoping on the first cover appearance on 796 store variant is recognised by cgc. (mostly because I love that cover)
  9. http://comicbook.com/comics/2018/03/14/red-goblin-marvel-retailers/ Comic shops ordering multiples more copies. This article quotes a comic shop ordering 10x their usual order of ASM
  10. I know it was embossed .. I meant that you had to move the book around to make out what the image was.. That is, the embossing on this cover is so bad you can't even see what it is you are looking at without viewing at obscure angles.. Ie " like a hologram cover". Because you had to move it around to see the image I'm sure that was far from the intent, but it was the end result.
  11. From what I remember as it's been long time since I held one , it's almost like a hologram cover in that you had to move it around in the light to actually make out what was going on.. I remember thinking it was a white fluffy white cloud until realising it was supposed to be tombstone .. Amazing they let that one into the wild.. Pure fail
  12. Is this a standard thing. ( wondered why I haven't seen any SS THX) He doesn't approve signing these?
  13. Yep .. 796 comic xposure store variant is first cover appearance.. And it's a really nice cover at that imo. ( far better than the mayhew 797). Ive ordered it a while back , just up to the postage gods how ( and when) it arrives..
  14. It was in my pull box and I after I stared at it for a bit I asked the guy to put it back on the shelf.. Which poor form on my part but I hated it that much .
  15. It's just a giant white blob. I remember holding this in the comic shop seriosly pondering whether I should get it. I knew there was a significant story inside but the muddy, poorly embossed tombstone against bright blue background. I honestly thought it was a manufacturing / design error First time I thought gimmick covers had gone too far. And I couldn't bring myself to buy it
  16. I' looking at getting a couple of SS. I'm not in USA so need to send in my comics to a provider who offers SS service. I've checked a couple like trinity/celestial , but just can't any indication of ability to press comics before or after slabbing. As postage is a SIGNIFICANT expense internationally, it doesn't stack up to get a SS, have it sent back, then resend for a press and regrade.. ( each book would end up costing $200 just for the grading / signing process) Any suggestions?
