  1. You ever ask yourself...."how can someone claim a comic book has never been read and/or opened?".... I have. Maybe there's an invisible seal, that can only be detected under a special light...? Like they use at motel crime scenes...?
  2. That's unfortunate. I hope he wasn't personally upset by peoples' comments.
  3. No. There are plenty of trustworthy sellers on eBay. You just have to find them and stick with them.
  4. There is soooo much stuff that is soooo overpriced. Last sale, $450, highest ever, $515, counter: $700. Last sale (and only) sale, $302, counter: $900. Last sale, $375, highest ever, $375, counter: $700 Did get one, though...actually two. Oops.
  5. Close enough. I got #1. Web #1 is surprising, though, but that's no doubt because Wolvie #1 Ltd has 3 10s, instead of 1.
  6. It's a loss leader. They're hoping people see other stuff they just HAVE to have.
  7. Ugh. Wading through acres of overpriced listings is a chore.
  8. That would be New Mutants #98. Then Wolverine #1 Ltd. Piece of cake.
  9. Looks like I'm buying something priced at $500 today.
  10. Now we just need a Creed revival, and we're set. No, not THAT Creed! THIS Creed:
  11. Time dedication is not an indication of quality. His estimates are based on nothing but hunches. He literally is pulling numbers out of thin air. YOUR estimates are just as good as his. So are my mom's.
  12. If I had in 1990 what I have now, it would be a piece of cake. Sadly, I didn't.
  13. Detective Comics. Looking further and further like an impossibility every day....
  14. I gave out quite a few Ninjak #1 golds about 10 years ago....
  15. Just got off the phone with yet another eBay drone, and they told me that eBay is "going through a major upgrade in July" What was funny was that, after hemming and hawing and "trying" to "figure out" what the problem was, the rep said the following words, which are always guaranteed to be a lie: "I'm not supposed to tell you this, but I want to be honest with you." Which begs three questions: 1. why are you telling me if you're not supposed to? and 2. why weren't you being honest with me from the start? and 3. why would I then believe you NOW? I suspect they're going to take away the ability to look at completed listings unless you pay for them. It is my understanding that you can't look at completed listings on Amazon, that there's no such thing as completed listings, is that correct? If so....welcome to the new reality.
  16. I cannot get to the listing for X-Men #130 CGC 9.6 that sold for $152.50 on May 27, no matter how many times I click. I've clicked it 10 or more times in the last 5 minutes...nothing.
  17. If you keep getting the #2 type screen...without the hyperlinked word "listing"...there's no way to get to the original listing. Sure, you can keep trying and it looks like right now you'll eventually get there, but at what price? 5, 6, 7, 10 clicks...? No one's going to tolerate that.
  18. It's not just that. See above. There are times when there is no way to find the listing you're looking for. In certain cases, they're completely removing your ability to see an ended item at all. This is no accident.
  19. That's a great point. Action Comics Annual #1 is, I think, the very first Superman story I ever read, and perhaps the first Superman/Batman team-up I ever read. Again, a feast for the eyes, on every page. Love it, love it, love it.
  20. Oops...forgot MOS #20 2nd. It's as hard as AOS #499 3rd and Action #686 2nd. Will also add #75 3rd and 4th newsstands.
  21. Again....I'm not willing to call the stickered copies "UPC" copies, even if they were stickered by DC. They're not printed, which is the key. There's no Superman #75 2nd UPC, like there is 3rd and 4th.
  22. And THIS is the page I got the SECOND time I clicked on the link above: Notice: no way to reach the original listing AT ALL. Scumbaggery.
