  1. You do know we're talking about a fantasy world correct? *waits for the page of text* ..which makes the idea that his saliva is "venom" even more absurd, because none of the people creating Venom stories has ever portrayed it that way. See how that works...? And who is "we"...? Do you have more than one personality rattling around in your head...? *waits for yet another silly comment*
  2. One of my favorite Venom covers. The "green slime" is venom...how can you call a villain "Venom" and not have venom? Um. Ok. You do know that spiders don't have their venom in their saliva, right...? And you do know that spiders don't even HAVE saliva, right...? In any event, no, that's not "venom." it's just stupid green gloop that Larsen came up with.
  3. It's higher than I expected (I was hoping for $300), but, in hindsight, I guess I didn't really know what to expect. It's the first time this book has sold in 9.8 and is the only one currently available. The next one graded/sold will be interesting. That was mine. I offered it at $462 or thereabouts, and someone made me an offer for $375, and I thought that was reasonable, so I took it. I have two more candidates that will be making their way in soon. You sold one privately? There was another copy on eBay recently that came in at $218. The census is way behind, apparently. It's still just got my copies (the one I own and the one I sold) No, I sold mine on eBay. In fact, the buyer who sold the 9.8 for $218 bought mine (and used my title, too!) for $375. Weird.
  4. Yes, Crunchy, I'm well aware of the corner box. I did post the entire cover, after all. Do you see a 5 foot tongue? No...? How many teeth are there...? 5,483? And are they spikes...? Nope. Just big teeth. Do you see weird geometry problems for eyes...? No...? Yes, I know the symbiote was capable of shape shifting, but Larsen took it to stupid extremes. Green slime....?
  5. From one (former) graded Crow collector to another. Good stuff.
  6. I suspect I'll never, ever own a 9.8 SS set of #1-4 or Tundra #1-3...so, I'll take these as consolation. So happy. So, so happy.
  7. Finally. Finally finally finally. Years. Waiting for the right opportunity. Years. Both the 9.8s were sent in under 9.8 pre-screens, by the way, and rejected. But I'll take it. Plus, I massaged 'em quite a bit, too. So many, many years waiting for these. I about cried when I saw them. The "name written on first page" is Vigil's.

  9. (you'll never guess who are my favorite artists.)
  10. I'm so very tired of the Larsen-inspired "stupid eyes, 5,298 spikes for teeth, 487 inch tongue lolling all over the place" Venom. That's NOT Venom. It's a parody of Venom. THIS is Venom: Yes, lots of teeth...but not spikes. Yes, slightly wonky eyes...but not geometry examples. And no stupid tongue.
  11. Thanks, but don't. Let them get it out, it's all they've got Is this the same guy that cried about Chandler and DWC in another post? Starting to think he was at fault now instead of them You would only "start to think" that if you were being wholly irresponsible and didn't bother to read and/or comprehend the case that was clearly and carefully laid out against Rice, with multiple witnesses. That's not the case, is it....?
  12. Easily in my Top 10 Threads since I joined almost a decade ago. Newb.
  13. We're not talking about actual pastries here, right? Do you at least pop a tic-tac first? So you want him to pop a tic-tac into his hot buttered muffin? What kind of sick code are you two communicating in, huh? HUH? Next time I see you I'm taking you furniture shopping. Ethan Allen, baby. I'm a Steinhafel's kinda lady. Is that where you buy the armoires for storing your Cher wigs...?
