  1. Newsstand to boot. They're all newsstand. If you find a DM copy of this, please, please post here!
  2. 21 in the box as of a few minutes ago, plus some randoms floating around. Sold 3-4 in the last year. How many 9.8s? Not nearly enough. I buy them whenever I see them for a good price. I fully believe in McFarlane Amazings. They are the Adams Green Lanterns of the 80's. And, just as Adams experienced a slump in value in the 80's, only to take off in the 90's....well....the only fault these have is saturation (and people still weren't hoarding like they were in the early 90's) and grade (75%+ copies extant are VF/NM or better, as opposed to 75%+ of Adams GLs being Fine or worse.) That $2 price tag looks familiar. I may have a few more of those price tags floating around...
  3. There's this one time that Greggy said he wanted to kick me in the nuts, which I took as he wanted to give me a hug. Every time I get near him (with arms wide open) he runs away , takes a nap , and then runs away some more . Bottom line...no hug. I would like Greggy to be placed on the double secret probation list until he envelopes me properly in his panda like upper appendages for an inappropriate length of time. I'd like to get past first base. I'll hang up and listen for my answer. Logic dictates that you hug him while he's taking said nap. It may not be consensual, but it's better than nothing.

  5. At the risk of getting more whining about "gee, big spender..." I will happily and gladly buy any and all Amazing McFarlane's in VF or better at $1. So...if any of you all find them in the 3/$1, and normally wouldn't be bothered....be bothered, and I will gladly buy them from you. Those books...every last one of them...would never have been passed by if I was there. I would have grabbed every last one of them. You're talking to a guy whose first new OPG Update was #12. And do you know what happened in OPG Update #12 for McFarlane Amazings....? Yes, $15 (in 1990 dollars, mind) for #305. $10 for #314. $6 for #322. It was CRAY CRAY. So, yeah, I'll buy 'em.
  6. There's a picture of the Hulk in Tales of Suspense #33...it is either the third or fourth appearance of the Hulk, depending on when issue #3 came out.
  7. Any seller that sends a message like this would never get my business. +1 Automatic do not buy from list. A comment like that says a lot about a person, regardless if they were mad or not at the time it was sent. It's too bad, really...if they had typed "chile" and "yo", it would have been just folksy enough to get my business. Drat.
  8. Agreed. But if he doesn't - Probation List? Why not? If people are placed on the list for not completing a transaction, when there is no real loss, then why would someone who overcharges and actually causes a real loss not be a candidate? Because the list has become such a joke nobody knows when to laugh. I always know when to laugh: ...when it's the most inappropriate.
  9. Love letters. OOOH, Olive Oil. That's good for the skin. Especially if you're using it as basting....
  10. 250+ posts. One day. The PL is an experiment whose effectiveness has long since passed by....
  11. You should add: Speak now, or forever hold your piece. Which piece?
  12. I just want DD #182-184 to be $20 books again. Not that I have a few or anything....
  13. Sandman looks just like Neil Gaiman - he is his own prototype! Anyone have a copy of his high school yearbook? Also, I'm pretty sure Mcfarlane drew a black soldier somewhere in the ASM Assassination Plot storyline (Spawn prototype right there).
  14. Steve Borock once removed everyone else from a topic.
  15. Apocalypse: The Twelve/Ages of Apocalypse A late 1999/early 2000 series, when print runs were as low as they ever got, I don't know why these books don't have more love. They include some extremely difficult variants, and the books themselves are quite tough, and ALWAYS missing from dealer boxes. Uncanny X-Men #375-378 Wolverine #145-148 X-Men #95-98 Astonishing X-Men #1-3 Cable #75-77
  16. Age of Apocalypse Beginning with the Legion Quest, which sets off the AOA, I'm not seeing any sort of love for these runs. Legion Quest - X-Men #40, 41, Uncanny X-Men #320, 321. X-Men Alpha, Omega, Prime. Generation Next #1-4 Astonishing X-Men #1-4 X-Calibre #1-4 Gambit and the X-Ternals #1-4 Weapon X #1-4 Amazing X-Men #1-4 Factor X #1-4 X-Man #1-4 X-Men Chronicles #1-2 Plus some peripheral books, like "Tales from the Age of Apocalypse", etc. A nice, self-contained story, and the first real focus on Apocalypse as a main villain throughout the X-Universe.
  17. Overlooked and Undervalued: X-Factor #9-11 New Mutants #46 Thor #373-374 Power Pack #27 Why? They are all Mutant Massacre crossovers, and while X-Men #210-213 carry a substantial premium over surrounding issues, these books can be had for little to nothing. It is was also one of the first (along with the Asgardian War of the year before) of the "titled crossovers" in comics, which have since become standard.
  18. Oooh, look at the big spender. Could be. If someone has 300 assorted VF or better copies of the issues mentioned, that's a pretty good sale of books that "no one wants."
  19. Pffft. Manitoba is for girls. And fake MIT. Hey by the way RMA - thanks again I bought your Spawn Action Homage 9.6 a few months ago. A+++ Great looking book! You did....? I don't remember owning a copy of that book.
