  1. The question is, ...where does it appear in English
  2. A little off topic but still SA Flash (well sort of). I normally don't buy production art but this is an exception as there is no original. When I saw this, I knew where my Rogues had come from. Maybe my favourite page in all of comics from Flash 80 page Giant 4#. I know who owns that original and it is not going anywhere. Much of the detail is lost in the stat production, but I can live with that. Good to see our Rogues front and centre where they belong.
  3. Never say never, they turn up at unlikely times in unlikely places.
  4. Basically just an ebay search every day for the last 6 years !! and the throw cubic dollars at it.( A$600+) If there are 500-600 copies of the original SC4 then this would be less than 50 maybe even less than 20. Our population was less than one tenth of the US and even in the 70s and 80s and 90s people would have been trashing these when found. This is a 1956 print, so at the time here no one had any idea of the 'Flash' so collectablity demand was as Captain Cold would like it. Absolute Zero. Have not looked past page one. Trying to cold press out the centre crease right now. Will look it over next week. No idea who drew the cover but think a local artist.
  5. Been after this for nearly six years. Not a question of money, just a question of finding one. I still don't have the 105 and a whole lot of others which in six years have not turned up or I missed them for some reason (maybe 3 of those). The rest are out there but I can relax a bit now.
  6. Yeah Rogues first appearances bring premiums, especially with them on the cover. 106 you get a double with Grodd and PP but for quite a few of these the Rogue did not make the cover. 110 is now silly expensive with Wally's 1st appearance, and of course SC 108, SC 13 +14 are all expensive. I think Weather Wizard appeared 3 times but only scored the cover once. Grodd appeared at least 6 times with only two covers !!!! (and Julie .. I thought you loved Gorilla covers .. what went wrong !!!) I think the Trickster was on the cover of all his appearances as was Pied Piper, Heatwave, Boomer and MM. If you like Trickster checkout Nembo Kid on the Italian Ebay site. They LOVED him. Way more covers then any other Rogue. 140, 155 and 174 bring premiums, with multiple Rogues and 129 has the first Rogues team up AND golden age cameos, Black Canary etc.
  7. At some time I had acquired a lot of Wally's run, and have still kept quite a few. I have kicked this around with a few Flash fans. We all agree that SC4 - 174 is pivotal in the Flash ethos, but what love we have for the rest of the Flash runs sort of depends when we started. No matter who else I have talked to we agree John's run is also Key, but for Waid's runs some people love, some dislike it and some don't care. It was a major run but all that stuck from it was the Speedforce and Bart Allen. No mater what, the above book is still a minor key.
  8. Raw, very nice to see, thank you. Nice book, well done.
  9. Certainly won't break the bank. Are you talking about "Flash" or "Barry Allen/Flash".
  10. Very nice. 129 is under appreciated as it has the JSA cameos.
  11. Not SA but SA artist so, always thought it continued on from his early run. Colour guides vs printed pages. I know the printed stuff has faded but doubt it has faded that much. Also the pages are larger.
  12. He did an amazing job of hiding that spine. What grade would you give it without punishing it (an optimistic grade)??
  13. I thought when it was a backup to Captain Atom it was better, although I did like Punch and Jewlie. His short story stuff like the Capn Atom BB or the Question, or the Shade I thought were all good. I thought much of his Captain Atom was as good as his ASM, which may be heresy to some who will never read them
  14. While we are talking prices (The SC 4 at around $10K for a 1.5) and we were talking about SC13 a little while ago ... and I was talking how in low mid grade it has been creeping up, .. this month a SC 13 Cream to OW 6.0 hit $2,880. To me it is an outlier and two people must have wanted it very bad,( live auctions will do that to you), and not sure what GPA had a top 6.0 listed at but think this will ush low to mid grade even more. A high grade 8.0 and over has not hit for a while, be interesting next time.
  15. Gee there are some very sweet covers in that lot. Congrats, and thanks for sharing.
  16. Late to the party, (been away again) but that is a very nice looking copy. Congrats ... slowly but surely ..
  17. As I seem knee deep in these, I keep track of them. I have found on SC8 that the 2.0, 1.8 have grown quite a bit, while same said for SC13 & 14 in anything up to 4.0.Should start pushing the higher grades. Gone are the days of SC13 +14 with a beat up cover but complete for $100.
  18. an 8.0 very nice. Yeah I had a buy on the 7.5 but delivery was months away and I knew others were chasing it and had a feeling, I may miss it, so when I saw a nice 5.0 Ion ebay, I grabbed that as a fallback and lo and behold a 6.5 turned up on ebay by Gary Dolgoff, turned up ....so yep grabbed that. The 6.5 and 7.5 were both books new to the market. I keep thinking I will let one go but can't make up my mind which one to keep.
  19. Thanks. Top end strong, bottom (under 5.0) strong but mid soft. Makes some of those 6.0s look cheap in recent months. Still hard to find in grade over 5.0
  20. And the winner was ......$48K!!!!!! Does anyone know the GPA stat's for that. I was more than a little surprised
  21. 105 is the highest second appearance of any DC SA character, but 106 is after SC8-14 and some years on par with 110 and 123. A 8.0 123 is on Comic Link soon. Interesting to see how these all compare.
  22. Also a 9.2 105 going off in a day. Be interesting to see where they land.
