  1. congrats, damn, that was FAST! so jealous, I'm STILL waiting for my recent purchase, that I posted here, to arrive. First there was problem getting them shipped (the problem being the seller just never sent em out until I bothered them enough times over 2 weeks), and now the damn package is being held by US Customs, so I gotta get that straightened out tomorrow... still hoping they arrive in the condition I purchased them at, but I have no idea if customs has opened the package, and if so did they have any regard for the condition of the contents? unlikely... Where are the books coming from? I went back and looked at the pictures again, and they look really great. I hope you get them soon and in the same condition as those pics.
  2. They're here! I received these yesterday in the mail. Here is number 4/10: Here is number 6/10:
  3. I was the winner of those two auctions for Turtlemania Gold. I was completely shocked to see a Turtlemania Gold #4/10 with a Buy-It-Now of only $450.00. I decided to look at the seller's other items. Shocked again! Another Gold, #6/10, for the same $450. I have the tracking number already, so the books should be in the mail on Monday. I will post some larger pics when I get the books. Also, I think the way the seller took photos of the books, they may be a little lower in grade than before the pictures. But hey, these are still only 1 of 10 Gold edition books. Should I get these graded? I think it would be good mainly for the encapsulation/preservation of the books. I don't think the grade would really affect their value much due to the rarity.
  4. saw this on ebay: TMNT 1 1st print raw I am surprised at the current $600+ price given that is it has a torn page and still 6 days left in the auction.
  5. Just completed a nice trade deal with Adrian. Comic arrived quickly, nicely packed, and just as described. Thanks!!
  6. Here's a thread for feedback to me. Thanks.
  7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT 3 NYCC variant CGC 8.5 on ebay SOLD link
  8. If you can afford it, here is your chance: ComicLink.com TMNT 1 1st print 9.8 auction ComicLink.com TMNT 3 1st print 9.8 auction
  9. Me too. Please PM me. Although I do not want to pay $250 like the one now on ebay. Thanks.
  10. sounds interesting. more info please. Here are some pics of Independent Comic Sampler 2. Apparently there were at least 2 editions of issues 1 and 2: green (ltd to 50), black (limited to 4000). I don't have #1 (if anyone knows where I can get #1, let me know). Also found an interesting piece of info: the TMNT ad says that the first TMNT TPB had a print run of 5000. I have been looking for that info for a while.
  11. I wish there was a site like this for TMNT. The link is to the Chronology of Spiderman, year by year, with each appearance listed in the date order. spiderfan.org Is there a site that lists TMNT comics like this?
  12. Here is a decent site. It has a checklist of almost all Turtles appearances. Not in chronological order but you can figure it out as it lists the dates for each appearance. mutantooze.org
  13. I have seen the 1st print softcover sell on ebay for anywhere between $65 to about $240. It just depends on the condition and frankly who's bidding at the time. Most of the time it is around either $70 for a Fine condition one and around $140 for a nicer VF/NM copy. Most of the SC copies are not signed, so that is a plus for your copy. The limited hardcover version had a print run of just 1000 and was signed and numbered by Eastman and Laird. It goes for around $280 to around $600 from what I have seen. Does anyone know the print runs for the softcover editions (1st 1998, 2nd 1990, and 3rd print 2009)?
  14. There is an even more rare version of the iron-ons on ebay right now. It's a design prototype of the second iron-on shown above. Correction: Actually it is a different design. Still Leonardo but in the TMNT Adventures style.
  15. Here is one more of the #1 first prints. I got this off ebay last year. I would guess it would grade out somewhere around 7-8. I love that it is signed and sketched by both Eastman and Laird on the cover. (sorry for the reflections - I did not want to remove it from the mylar)
  16. Mirage is selling some of Peter's personal collection. It came with a certificate of authenticity stating that. It also came with these as extras (sorry they are a little grainy) all signed by Peter: This one also has a sketch:
  17. Here's what I got in the mail today. I received the rare TMNT 3 NYC variant. I won it on ebay from tmnt_toys aka Mirage. After winning the auction, I requested that Peter Laird sign and sketch the cover. Here's what I got: (Let me know if there is a better way to add images -- ah. photobucket!)
  18. I am looking for a #3 NYCC variant: My WTB post for TMNT 3 NYCC variant Please let me know if you have one you would be willing to part with or know someone who does. I have only seen the ones on ebay, CL, and comicconnect. Thanks.
  19. You can try amazon. They have 3 copies on sale with the highest at $299. Still seems Pretty high but lower than $599. Actually that is the Artobiography. Sorry.
  20. There was a NYCC 3 just recently on ComicLink for $400 for CGC 8.5. I bid $305, but the offer expired after 5 days. The listing is gone now.
  21. I saw on ComicLink where a CGC 9.2 #3 NYC variant just sold for $242. I wish there were more of these available. Two inexpensive #4 2nd print error copies recently sold on ebay for about $105 (from DJB I think). I was going to buy the #4 2nd print, but I did not pull the buy it now trigger fast enough. There are 2 #3 NYC variants is on sale at ebay for $749, one is CGC 8.5 and the other is raw F/VF. These prices seem very high to me. I was also surprised to see a CGC 9.0 #1 1st print sell for $2000 on ebay. I thought the price was a little high.
  22. This is my first post here. Thanks everyone for all the info in this thread. Can anyone tell me how much they think this is worth? TMNT 1 1st print signed sketched
