  1. STANDARD Received 4/11/19 Grading 4/25/19 Shipped 4/29/19 ECONOMY Received 4/11/19 SFG 4/11/19 - still in this status
  2. I recently dropped off books at Wondercon with Express drop off. Make sure to have your submission form printed out and with you. You can jump to the front of a different line. If you don't have the form printed out and have to have CGC print, it will take a significant amount of extra time to drop off. At Wondercon it was over 2 extra hours.
  3. Haha. I aspire to be you and not be the newest newb! Thanks for the suggestion on East Coast Comic Con. Not necessarily in a hurry to get out to the next East Coast con but rather a better buying show. Especially since it seems there are plenty of reputable dealers that I never see due to being isolated on the West Coast for my show attendance as of now.
  4. Thanks for the welcome! Collecting those runs will probably take a lifetime to finish for me but definitely fun in the process.
  5. Ideally, I would prefer to sell to a fellow collector who would enjoy my collection hopefully as much as I did. However, a sale is a sale and getting what I feel is a fair offer is what matters at the end of the day regardless of selling to a collector or dealer. The one thing I can't stand is selling to someone who claims they are a collector and not a dealer and then just wants to flip the books anyways. I'd rather have you be honest with me from the start. If you want to buy the books to flip that's fine. There are so many posts out there on social media that say they're a collector and sell to them because of that but they're just flippers who don't sell comics full time.
  6. 5.5 or 6.0. Has that book been pressed? The square binding on the bottom left corner looks pretty flat compared to the top binding.
  7. I think it's a 6.0 even after a press. Because those are deep spine ticks. 5.0 or 5.5 in current condition due to the spine roll.
  8. Hi everyone, I'm Jan! Collector from So Cal. I'm in San Diego now but was in LA for the prior few years. Been collecting more seriously for the last five+ years and before that collected on and off as a kid and then in my early twenties. Trying to collect ASM 1-400, X-Men 1-300 minus the reprints, Batman 155-500 and Captain America 100-200. I go to a handful of shows/conventions a year including Cal Comic Con, WonderCon and San Diego Comic Con. Looking to find an East Coast show good for buying that I can also make a mini vacation.
  9. Thanks for the confirmation on C-1. That's a bummer....bought from an Overstreet advisor as a raw book and they didn't disclose the restoration nor indicate it would grade with restoration when I asked. The Modern book is from 1975 so I'm hoping it's considered a Modern book with Universal label.
  10. Image above is a snippet from my submission tracking under the status of scheduled for grading. I'm assuming C-1 means some type of Restoration for that book? What do Modern and Universal mean in this case? Is that the grader it goes to next? Did they pass the first restoration check? This is my first time submitting books to CGC for grading. Thanks for your help.
  11. I'll second So Cal comics for silver age and overall selection. Was just there this weekend and they had a lot of a major keys in stock like X-Men 1 and Strange Tales 110. Run books tend to have the best pricing and nice deals can be found.
  12. Update: Both of my submissions showed up as SFG today after being dropped off at Wondercon.
  13. Couldn't agree more and that's what I dislike the most about Instagram. Copying and pasting hashtags for every post and not changing them to accommodate the actual post.
  14. I submitted at Wondercon as well, haven't seen the books show up in the system yet either. But not surprised as that would be pretty quick considering the cross-country transit.
  15. I think 6.0 or 6.5, nice looking book and one of my favorites.
