Economy - 8 Books Dropped off at WonderCon 3/30 4/11 - SFG 6/20 - Grading/QC

Thanks. That tier was going to be my guess. I have books in the same tier that have been SFG since 4/11 and I've seen 4/3 SFG books already graded and shipped a while ago. However, your books were shipped out after those 4/3 SFG books even though they were received earlier. My books have been sitting with the category filled in for almost two weeks without being moved to Grading/Quality control. Hopefully they move to grading soon.

Curious, which tier did you submit?

In fairness to CGC, they're very busy right now with demand for their services. I submitted in person at WonderCon at the end of March for an 8 book Economy submission. It went to SFG in the system on 4/11 and has been there ever since. When it hit the system that day, the TAT was 32 days and had dipped to 28 days about a week later. Now it's up to 54 days estimated TAT for that tier submission. The books are on their 38th business day in CGC's system tracked possession, beyond what the original estimated TAT was when they were entered in the system. Reasonably, the estimate is just the estimate. Based on my current experience, I would estimate TAT based on what the current, estimated TAT time is not what it was when entered in the system as it will always be fluid on the lower priced tiers based on demand/staffing. These are books for my personal collection that I wanted slabbed and I can be patient getting them.

I completely agree. I have a ton of their Mylite 2s and Full Back Boards but buying them buy the 50 pack or as a bundle of a 100 is way more expensive than buying direct. It saves over $10 per bundle of 50 bags and boards.

I was looking at purchasing direct from E. Gerber in a bulk supply order without a retailer account. It's significantly cheaper than any other option for me that I've found. If anyone has an experience purchasing directly without a retailer account from them, I'm hoping they could share. Good or bad. Thanks

They were modern books but a couple that were graded Near Mint on their website wouldn't grade higher than 7.5 at CGC IMO. They had huge color breaking creases on the spine that were almost an inch in width.

Mycomicshop always packs and ships their items well. However, I've received books that were in much worse condition than advertised and the damage didn't seem to come during shipping.

9.2-9.4 based on the flaws I can see in the pics.

7.0-7.5

There's too many long running creases to be a 6.0. It could get to a 4.5 after a press.

3.5-4.0 due to the staining and creasing on back cover.
