-
Did you know, you sold me my FF48 about 8-9 years ago? 8.0 - guess how much you sold it to me for (Canadian).

Good Luck buying Hulk 181 at GPA Unless you mean last sale GPA --- (I'm just teasing you, I do the same, unless it's a hot book)

Just found these thread, didn't read everything, but giving my two cents on the matter. (Reply to OP). The reality is, no one needs comics in their life to survive. This is purely a hobby, and is fueled by the hobbyist. As long as the demand is there, you can squeeze all the juice you can outta the lemon. The lemon will always have juice, if there is demand for AF15 lemon juice. The price of it will probably grow like inflation. And this demand will be fueled by movies, branding, modern comics, and all that current pop culture marketing that Disney has / will do. When will AF15 be worthless? Or have zero juice left. When big companies stop marketing Spiderman, and generations pass, and no one knows who spiderman is. By then, we would all be gone / died. In this life time of ours (regardless how old you are), AF15 will have value. Disney is not going to spot marketing this cash cow. The fact that we are evening discussing this on Forums shows we have interest. And to everyone that thinks there will be a comic book "recession" or the bubble will burst soon? Well, I personally think, that means the global economy will probably be in recession, and there is a bigger bubble that just exploded. I wouldn't be worried about my comics, I'd be more worried about my actual 9-5 job. Nothing is 100% --- and I'm known to be wrong, but this is my two pennies Btw --- you know the money in your wallet, take a look at it, technically speaking, it's not worth the paper it's printed on, but for some reason, everyone slaves themselves for it!

I know you guys are all watching this --- right? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fantastic-Four-48-CGC-9-0-White-Pages-1st-Appearance-of-Silver-Surfer/263861241271?_trkparms=aid%3D777001%26algo%3DDISCO.FEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D53470%26meid%3Da2a1f5f746a84554bbd3bbedd0127bf3%26pid%3D100651%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D263861241271&_trksid=p2481888.c100651.m4497&_trkparms=pageci%3A959ad2b4-9d0c-11e8-bcbd-74dbd180bab3|parentrq%3A26c57acb1650aa4799fb6de6fffebf7d|iid%3A1

MF 73 : Is the Bloom Off the Rose ?
tdotcbc84 replied to Chicago Boy's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
This reminds me of FF48 --- SS / Galactus not on cover. Probably why it's been so under-valued until now. ST110 is another one that pops into mind. This is a weird cover for me, but having more than 1 MAJOR DC character --- should be a book everyone wants! -
Incredible Hulk #181 - is it *that* red-hot?
tdotcbc84 replied to Getoutandstayout's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
what exists and what is available to buy, is two completely different things. If there are only 100 Hulk 181s in the world, and 50 are for sale. Are those 50 more expensive than say, the 5 that are for sale, but there are actually 1000 copies out there? (I don't have a real answer to the question, just food for thought......) -

Didn't Hulk 181 9.8 drop to 50% of value after 2008? -

tdotcbc84 replied to Getoutandstayout's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Keep in mind, census sometimes mean nothing, if people are pressing and cleaning multiple times on the same copy, re submitting potentially more than 1 or 2 times --- of course it is top heavy! -

So I'm curious.... specifically towards dealers here... how are you guys pricing Hulk 181s right now? On most books, I look at 90 Day GPA, if it's hot book, I'll maybe look at last 5 sales, the last 30 days. But with the Hulk 181s, it seems like every new sale is a RECORD BREAKING one. How are you pricing? Either as a buyer or a seller........??? -

Yes ! I saw that sale, buddy of mine tried to bid on it and LOST! He can't believe he went so much higher and still lost! I have a 9.0, and just recently upgraded to a 9.2 ---- Anyone know what is FMV on my 9.0 OW-W. I seriously don't know how to price it. Last sale? $5500? Future speculation built in at $6k ???? -

Just saw this thread --- but there is some SERIOUS bromance going on here!!!! (I do not feel left out...... just making that clear). -
Thanos was just playing nice with everyone ---- with the reality stone, he could have turned everyone to bubbles --- he was just flexing his GOD powers, and toying with everyone.
-
So far, from what I see from everyone who has watched the film, Thanos might be the ALL TIME FAVOURITE VILLIAN for a lot of us. Or at least one of the best portrayed in recent memory! The whole soul stone part of the movie was exceptional, right from the RED SKULL!!!
-
I thought about the whole "Dr Strange could have used the time stone" theory, but realized, he saw like what -- 14 Million possible timelines? And only 1, he saw would defeat Thanos. So having said that, he probably picked THAT timeline, to hopefully defeat Thanos. And in that timeline, he gave Thanos the time stone? Otherwise, why would he give it up so easily. The real flaw was Fury not calling Captain Marvel earlier. Overall, this was an epic Marvel movie. In my opinion, much better than Civil War! Anyone else think about the whole Dr Strange / Time Stone situation?
-
I'm not really into Signature Series, but this might be one of the few I would ever consider dropping big money on.... Can someone tell me more about "Stan Lee File Copy" --- sounds so LEGENDARY!!!!
-
They would use a different variation than the other red on the cover?
-
So does this effectively make my 8.0 worth more than $2kUSD? Right right right?
-
Kind of a newbie on the boards, but I have been collecting for almost 8ish year now. And I just got my first John G F pedigree book: a FF50. Don't have it in hand yet, but I'm excited to see the ink on this bad boy
