Tell him the book had a page missing inside and he would have known that if he inspected it for manufacturer defects. Of course paging thru it to check it out is the same as reading it right?

When the seller says the book is "unread" it poses the question, how do they know? Unless you pulled the book directly off the press and bagged it how would you know if it is unread? If you bought it at your LCS maybe someone was reading it then put it back on the shelf. Just sounds like the stupidest comment to make about a comic. Sorry for the rant.

OK I found it. I don't have 15 books being submitted so I can't do the quick press and the single book price is more than I want to put into these particular books. Thanks for all the help everyone!

I would say the only one worth considering is the #294 Death of Kraven. But it has to be in fresh off the shelf condition to be worth it. If there are a few spine tics, small fold, anything that takes it away from Mint condition you will pay more to get the book graded than it will be worth. Look at the Ebays finished auctions for this book and see what the 9.8 grade sells for and what the 9.6 goes for. Its a world of difference.

So do you select the pressing in Step 2 or 3?

I submitted some books just recently and I didn't see anything in the form about pressing. How am I not finding it? I took my ritalin. BTW how much time does pressing add to your TAT? I have a stainer and staple popper already lizard but thanks for the info.

I know its evil. I consider it restoration but as long as the grading companies don't think so, i'll join in and be evil also. Somebody had better not PM me and tell me of such evil. Or else.

Are those markings a scuff? I mean can you feel any texture on the defect?

I once bought a book advertised as 8.0 but it looked much better from the pictures. Bought it... got it graded by company across the street.... came back as 9.4 Seller was 4 grades off. Should I have said something or do we only correct sellers who ere in their favor?

I have nothing against the "other" company except that they make a mistake on the label after you have waited 6 months and you have to send it back. Or that they misplace your books and no one seems to know where they are at? Or that they take 3X as long on their estimated TATs so you call them and they have your books in the wrong tier. Or that they change plastic companies and hold your books forever to find a new one. Other than that they are ok. This is why Ride the Tiger is here.

So how much time must pass before this story is completly dead? Still a chance its coming back or heck no?
