  1. Best cover! I counted the change in my ashtray in my car...ima be a little short.
  2. Borrow your Dad or Grandpa's old router(not for wifi-for wood!) and cut the ones you have. One on-line $20. Make the old ones fit!
  3. Right! It has character, like an old wood cabinet... it's seasoned. It's a great comic with a great story on how it got that way.
  4. On mine no, It is a leather bound edition...I asked...they said no. For a fee I think they can pre-screen your comic...tell you if its a 9.8.
  5. 9.6..Last pic...that might hold you back, that corner. Not sure. And same pic, to right of barcode top line...ink smear? On a different comic, I had a poly bag crease front and back cover (just like 7th pic- bottom), I didn't even see on a comic...sent it in, got a 8.0, I was crushed. But read into boards...everybody thinks their comic is a 9.8
  6. ...my wife says get your low value slabs and some beer, we will head down to bonfire Sat. night and make your own melted comics!
  7. It's ok. Stan Lee signature probably keeps you hooked...seems like insurance would pay you out on those too...and ins. company doesn't want them! I planted the seed, just got to give it time...once they think about it, takes a couple weeks and usually they call.
  8. I contacted them, not interested in selling...for now. Any other finds, send my way with pics! Thanks.
  9. "...anything can happen to it to reduce its grade - damage in shipping due to impacts..." Come on! That would never happen! They handle with "care". Your just talking crazy.
  10. "...What I'm thinking is that he graded two of the exact same book (Twins, if you will, for the purpose of the upcoming metaphor) and mixed up the grades..." I want to hear from the guy who sent in a 7.5 to be signed and got a 9.8 back! My only other thought was Miller had to use the can ,and didn't have anything to read...your book was on the top of the stack of comics....
  11. I'm a retired firefighter, I've seen a lot of burned things after a fire. Any one ever seen or have a CGC case damaged by fire? With comic still in it?! Post pics! I might even buy it from you for my retirement wall in my office... we had a propane tank from a grill that exploded flat! We mounted it on the wall at the station. It was cool looking...our lawyer says we don't know how it got to the station...and up on the wall.
  12. Can't wrap my head around a grade on this one(I know it's low). Thanks for the help! Never sell this one...keeper.
  13. Kenneth Dudek <ken@ngccoin.com> Mon, Jun 15, 3:01 PM (2 days ago) to Sharrowspainting@gmail.com Good Afternoon, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, CCS cannot press out such creases in leather bound books. Stay safe and have a great week. Ken Dudek Customer Service Numismatic Guaranty Corporation p. 941-360-3990 | f. 941-360-2553 NGCcoin.com ...damn.
  14. Morning, I just had Leather Bound Edition Cryptic Writings of Megadeth #1 returned to me from CGC 8.5. Grader notes only are -light polybag creasing, front and back cover. There isn't any color break. Can this be pressed out? Of leather? Thanks. Doesn't matter if it's "worth it", to me. Not selling. Always liked the band. One to put in my collection!
  15. Couldn't pass this one up! 1945 with pencil date 3/29 cover.
