Anybody have info on GoCollect site status??
MemorezGuy1 replied to twmjr1's topic in Comics General
I sent their support team a DM via Twitter (X) a few days ago but no response. Usually I get a reply pretty quick. -
I'm listing a couple of nice Centaur books in the upcoming June 25 auction on Heritage (now with links): Little Giant Movie Funnies #1 CGC GD- 1.8 Cream pages Little Giant Movie Funnies #2 CGC VG- 3.5 Cream pages I hope they go to someone who will really appreciate them.

Well, I decided to let go of the book, so if anyone is interested, it will be listed in the June 20-27 comic auction on Heritage along with some of my other books here.

I did reach out to CGC Customer Support and they said:

I have done so and I'll post the response here for everyone's benefit.

As a followup to this thread: I have successfully submitted a large quantity of the Del 15¢ price variants. I have just a few of the "Now 10¢" price variants which I would like to know if CGC will recognize as such. These were produced by Dell to address the price reduction back to 10¢ at the end of the 15¢ market test. More details here: http://dellcomicfan.blogspot.com/2011/12/in-late1950s-dell-published-several.html Will CGC properly recognize such books with a "Now 10¢ price variant" label?

Hi all. I've been a board member for a really long time (actually lost my original account but first joined in 2008). I've almost never sold any of my collection but I am finally letting some go. I've decided to use the really convenient Shortboxed app/platform and have created my store which you can browse here: https://shortboxed.com/FirstIssueSpecial Side note: The Shortboxed team is really awesome and the experience selling/buying using their app is very nice. Highly recommended. I've listed about 100 CGC slabs to get started - mostly GA, SA and Bronze, but I think the Forum members would find some of the ones listed below particularly interesting. I'm open to offers - use the Make Offer feature in Shortboxed. Little Giant Movie Funnies #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/527474 (a rare Gerber 7 Centaur book) Little Giant Movie Funnies #2: https://shortboxed.com/product/518756 (another rare Gerber 7 Centaur book, second highest graded) Humphrey Comics #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/527488 (first comic with this particular Harvey logo) Smitty #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/527479 Feature Book #42: https://shortboxed.com/product/527479 SOLD Blondie Comics #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/539075 SOLD Lassie #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/539083 G.I. Joe #10 (actually this is the first issue): https://shortboxed.com/product/539087 Joe Palooka #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/541427 (I also have #4 listed.) Tim Mix Western #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/559344 Feature Book #44: https://shortboxed.com/product/559342 Buck Rogers #1: https://shortboxed.com/product/555527 Anyway, just some fairly uncommon (mostly GA) books to share with everyone. I'll update this list as items sell and post again when I have added a significant number of interesting new slabs. Thank you for your time reading this and have a great day!

I'm new to this multi-pack conversation, but to be clear... this is what you're referring to, correct?

I have just read and truly appreciate this thread. Thanks to all who have shared some comic book history here!

This is a heartening thing to read - that there's such a quality control check on pressing. Excellent.

This is a great question. I travel a lot for business and it would be useful to understand when to inform CGC to hold nascent shipments.

Recognition of Dell price and back cover variants
MemorezGuy1 replied to MemorezGuy1's topic in Ask CGC
Thank you - this is a very valuable and appreciated reply. I will prepare my submission accordingly. I spent many years hunting these down and would really like to get them labelled properly. Have a great day! -
Which begs the question - when submitting a double, triple, quad, etc cover comic - how do we annotate this to ensure properly grading/labelling?
-
I'm in the process of preparing to submit quite a number of Dell series comics. I have a number of them which are regional price variants (15¢ and 30¢ Giants). I also have a few with the rare "Now 10¢" price variant label. These were special printed copies in the price test regions that were overprinted as the price was being reduced back down to 10¢ after over a year at 15¢. Finally, I have a few of the regional priced Giants which are 30¢ instead of the usual 25¢. My question to CGC is: which of these will you properly indicated on the CGC slab label: - 15¢ regional price variant - 30¢ regional price variant (for appropriate Giants) - "Now 10¢" regional price variant (granted the price is the same but the extra labelling is rare) - Non-ad back cover variant (these are in fact identified in Overstreet) Details: http://dellcomicfan.blogspot.com/2011/12/in-late1950s-dell-published-several.html Note: I originally posted this question here:

I have a batch of high grade Dell $0.15 cent regional price variants and a few of the "10¢ Now" price variants. Will CGC properly recognize this when they are submitted? I've seen many such 15 cent variants incorrectly listed as Canadian editions - these are certainly not. I want to be sure they will be properly labelled before I submit them so any feedback is appreciated. As a followup question, what about the non-ad back cover variants? Ironically, Overstreet recognizes the existence of the back cover variants but not the price variants themselves.
