Calling all Golden Age nerds, I need your help! I ran across a book a while ago and cant remember what it is for the life of me and it's driving me CRAZY. All I remember is that it was a golden age title, very rare (Gerber 8 or 9), not part of any of the big titles you would think of when GA comes to mind. The cover is basically a castle archway entrance with a gate in front and a woman's severed head stuck on one of the gate spikes, and a guy running off into the distance. I will now grace you with my artistic recreation that will hopefully jog someone's memory

The "buyer safeguard" is that PayPal can just yank the funds back from you if you screw the buyer over. I'm not about to start shipping things out without receiving payment first. And then I have to wait for the buyer to confirm the item arrived.....and if they don't I have to call customer service to get my money? That's absurd.

Crime Exposed #5 - 4.0-5.0 This is a really tough book to find and it contains some of John Romita Sr's earliest professional published work. I originally had this listed as his FIRST professional work. I have since been corrected! $125. SOLD -

Mods nuked my last thread because I forgot to close out my old one. So here's an all new one, with new books! Here's the rules: 1. Paypal due within 24hrs unless we discuss otherwise prior to taking the book. I'm open to discussing giving you extra time to pay, just need a heads up. 2. Prices include shipping to continental US 3. No refunds on slabs unless damaged in transit, refunds on raw books allowed for things I failed to mention like color touch, missing page, popped staple, etc 4. First take it in the thread trumps PM discussions Here we go!

Edit/Update: Hey guys, so I still have these and need to move them, how does $175 shipped sound for the set? Any takers? Hey guys, testing the waters with these three books. The Crow issues #2, 3, & 4. The first two are signed by Mr O'Barr, #4 is not but is high grade. Take all 3 for $300 shipped Here's the rules: 1. PayPal only, payment due within 24hrs. 2. Refunds on raw books only if there are defects I failed to mention or clearly represent in pictures. Color touch, page missing, staple pop, etc. 3. First take it in the thread trumps PM discussions.

Bumping this for a massive price drop. I think I may have this priced way too high?

That's gonna be a hard pass from me.

This happened to me last week with a payment from my sales thread. I've been a PayPal member since the company started and do a ton of business through them. I called customer service and they had no idea why it was on hold. I told them that there was no way I'm shipping products without receiving payment first, as that's not how any business that I know of operates. The customer rep agreed with me, saw my history with them, and immediately released the funds.

Post edited to correct my mistake of saying this was Phantom's first appearance. This IS the first all Phantom comic book though. Unless one of you punks has anything else smart to say

I stand corrected!

Just one book for now, we'll see how this goes. But here's the rules: 1. PayPal only, due within 24hrs 2. Shipping is included, no returns on slabs 3. First take it in the thread trumps PMs Here's the goods! Feature Book #20, printed in 1938, is the first comic completely dedicated to The Phantom. The Feature Book series by McKay Publishing was the first comic series to dedicate whole books to one character. This book is INCREDIBLY rare, having only 6 on the census. This one being the 4th highest graded copy. It may be low grade, but it certainly presents much higher. Good luck finding a better looking one that's affordable.....or finding another one at all. $3000 shipped OBO NOW ONLY $2000 SHIPPED!!!

Modest Gold That You Give A Lot Of Love To

I recently stumbled across a copy of this on eBay and had my heart broken when it showed up with a panel cut out -
I almost bid on that to upgrade mine, but couldn't justify spending the money for .5 grade bump haha

Saved me from myself. Nice pick up!

Church/MH Superman 1 record sale in January
Nic8612 replied to Northwest's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
They used to be one and the same, just two sides of the same coin. But I did still confuse the names. Regardless, they bought CGC last year and now this top graded, top grail comic shows up regraded with a bump and completely ignoring the newly found restoration just so they can announce a record sales figure and drive the market higher
