I had to buy a run of New Mutants to get some issues I needed so I have some extra keys and figured I would try them here for a few days before moving to Ebay- all the books are VF or better. $55 for the lot of them. Issues New Mutants 1 , 16 first Warpath, 18 !st Warlock and Demon Bear (Basis for the movie) 26 first Legion, 86 1st Leifeld art (newsstand),100 (newsstand) first X-force and I will throw in an X-force 1 too! It was attached by the staple when it went. An owner along the line taped the interior edges and spine preemptively - even with no tears etc. so there is tape now securing but it is off the staples.

Hindsight is great.. but what does any of this have to do with it was attached after the press then went to cgc and came back not attached? Also the Fury was not pressed

Hi Bradley- thanks for noting, but in the notes it states detached at both staples... was this considered as a downgrade to grade?

I just got off the phone with CGC - not much help. They will not do anything until I have the book in hand (it is in the mail) so I have to wait until I receive it and then cal back in and start from scratch....

All of this is a moot point... I have submitted over 250 books this last year from my PC at a significant cost- I should be able to assume they will be handled and cared for at least as well as I do and returned in the same shape... or no?

Thank you... I understand this (I have been collecting most of my life 30+ years) - In my opinion encasing them eliminates any human error (like your tape mis-hap) as well as adding a significant barrier to any bumps from impacts.

Just an FYI these books are for my collection... the main reason I CGC fragile books like this is for protection and preservation, if they are going to be further damaged doing it the purpose is defeated.

Thanks-who is this? Yes who ever owned this book originally tape up the whole inside reinforcing it. I expected a 1.5/1.8 it came in at a 1.0

Ask away. No they were both in appropriate bags and boards. I always go one size above what the bag is labeled. I like an easy in and out with my bags and boards.

Thank You. Notes on the MMC - say top of cover detached and bottom of cover detached. Notes on Fury just say cover detached no specifics on either staple

Thank you for answering. I understand the risks involved, I also trust this presser very much- he has advised me on books not to press before and done some amazing work on some fragile books. I do also use CCS to press some stuff depending on what I am looking to get done. I do not have a pic of the GA in the case ( I could dig it out tommorrow and take) but I am sure I have before and after on pressing in my phone i can share as well as pics of the SA raw as it has not returned yet. Give me a moment and I will find the pictures.
