  1. I am sure it is a lovely ottoman and for the right price you will sell it!
  2. Apparently I was pretty smart 2 years ago lol.. I actually just saw this book the other day while going through some boxes.
  3. I wanted to wish a very happy birthday to my good friend @AnkurJ who I met right here on these boards! Ankur has helped my immensely in this hobby as a sounding board, art procurer, mentor and the guy who convinced me it is ok to spend obnoxious amounts of money on funny drawings lol.. A funny thing happened along the way, he became not just a name on a message board but a real life friend! Cheers Ankur hopefully you find the batgirl of your dreams today!
  4. Gene- when you get a good buzz going does the grading get tighter or loose??
  5. Hey Guys picked up this Avengers 57 off of Instagram and thinking about sending it back in for a blue label. But figured I would see if anyone knows what the highest it could be with a cover that is detached at one staple? I have a 6.0 personality that has a detached top staple but that book is nowhere near as nice as this. So is that what this will come back? Or can it go higher? Thanks!
  6. And now for a two for Thursday- the Chuck Austen Ron Garney Uncanny run was very forgettable from a story standpoint (Stacey X and all that - go back and read them for the fun of the unbelievable stuff they were putting in there) but the Ron Garney Art was very well done. So when I saw this Title splash by Garney with Nightcrawler front and center I thought it was perfect for my quest! Funny thing about this though... I can not figure out where it was published. It is not issue 422 page 1 as it says on the page, but I spoke to Ron who said it was a title page and published just not sure where!! So I will be digging through old issues trying to find it! If you know , drop me a note! Thanks
  7. Bent the rules a bit here- but after my heart breaking miss on a Larocca Uncanny cover (long story about a piece of art being double sold even though it was in my hands!) But I like this X-men 177 Cover better anyway! this may actually be my Favorite Of any of the Larocca covers - fantastic image of Wolverine front and center surrounded by the X-men of the day and Sentinels looming in the background!
  8. I yelled Buy it at him for 5 minutes via text... @Jginsberg79
  9. I think that is the same size as the one I own.. great size for art
  10. Lots of eyes on this and little confirmation... I messaged Garney on facebook but nothing yet..
  11. beautiful cover!! How big is it? I know sometimes he works on larger boards
  12. Well I got some info.... a fellow collector I know got in touch with the inker of the piece Mark Morales who conformed he inked the original Garney pencils for it and it was an inside cover for a type of recap of issues they were doing on uncanny at the time. He said it was published but does not remember where ... so the search continues!
  13. Thanks guys! @bisquitodoom - a friend of mine who collects said it looks unfinished, and while I see what he is saying I tend to agree with you - on these covers he seems to ink the “true” black spots of the cover and I think that actually accentuates the pencil art. I targeted this one in particular for the strong wolverine image and sentinels looming around the rest of the team.
  14. I thought the show was great... as far as the prices? They are what they are ... mega pieces have mega prices. But there were decent pieces to be had if you dig through the portfolios. @AnkurJsaid it well in his write up.. they are not motivated to move those wall pieces because they have to pay up to replace them lol. personally I came home with three pages and couldn’t be happier.
