Have any of you that sell on ebay noticed a drop in bids since the sales tax was inflicted, I mean implemented? This will really affect what I offer on BIN items. Since I'm paying 8% sales tax, making a 90% offer is really a 98% offer for me. To make anything worthwhile it looks like I would have to offer 75% of the asking price, probably pizzing off the seller. I'm sure I could mention to the seller that the 8% sales tax is the reason why the offer is what it is. EDIT: Other online retailers are only charging me 4% (Amazon, Deep Discount) sales tax.

Kind of reminds me of the novel (and movie) THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE. When asked about marriage , Eddie says something like"My friend, if I had the time to explain it to you, you wouldn't believe it anyway". Same goes for this line of pricing.

I skip over Mile High's listings. My life is better for it (even though I used to buy a ton from the comic advertisements back in the early 90's).

At one point, maybe I'm wrong, you had to accumulate over $5 to get the ebay bucks. I was surprised to get the notice that I had ebay bucks to spend.$4 American. Woo hoo.

The second sentence is incorrect. If you are buying an item and the state you LIVE in has a sales tax, you will be charged XX%. Doesn't matter if the state you are buying from doesn't have sales tax.

Just got charged 8% tax on an ebay purchase today. Is this something starting 7/1? If so, this could affect buying anything expensive. EDIT: looks like they are for my state.

I'm sitting on $4.24. Not going to make it past $5 to qualify for ebay bucks.

Usually I buy high and sell low, but have been known to %$#@ that up once in a while. I bought two Monster Worlds, one fine and the other fine + for under $10 each and sold them for $103 and $111 respectively within a week.

A couple more arrivals. The 146 was hard to find at a reasonable price and without a detached staple or centerfold.

I've pretty much stopped buying expensive items from ebay which may also be the culprit. My average purchase has been about $20 or less, with a lot of those being groups of cheap comics.

I hate ebay. I've been shut out all year on the specials and promotions.(Maybe they hate me too).

Comic Book movies that blow chunks: THE CROW WICKED PRAYER JONAH HEX GHOST RIDER SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE Non comic book movies: WILD WILD WEST- kept trying to leave and my wife wouldn't let me. This movie just pi$$ed me off as it was wrong on so many levels. VIGILANTE DIARIES-This was wrong on so many levels. You wouldn't believe me if I tried to explain it anyway. Picked up as a 2.0

Forgot the other two. A Spectre graded 5.0 and a Creeper graded 5.5.

Picked up the Detective as a 2.0. The Captain Marvel 2 as a 4.0. The Superman annual was ungraded. It has wrinkling, no water damage.

Been a while since I picked anything up Silver age wise. Bought this one ungraded. It has the wrinkling, which I've seen quite a few times on 80+ page comics and magazines of that era. Binding looks good. I'm thinking at best a 3.0? Appreciate your thoughts on this one. Thanks!

I'm not sure what the critics and fans were expecting from this movie. Shakespeare? All I wanted to see was giant monsters beating the $#!t out of each other and destroying buildings. It delivered that in spades, making my inner ten year old geek out.

I remember the $#!tstorm when Keaton was announced to play Batman. I wasn't happy about it until I watched him in CLEAN AND SOBER. Then I knew he had the chops to pull it off. I'm not sure about Pattinson, but if this movie ever gets made, then I'll pass judgment. And yes, the Batman should be voiced by Conroy.

Back in 1987 I got a Justice League # 1 Retailer's Preview from Moondog that is somewhere in the closet of doom.
