  1. These three for sure... not sure about the others, my records are a bit spotty. Solid low grade less popular covers. The lighting is warm on the second book, colors are actually nice and whites are white.
  2. Ha ha, I was joking about the trade... actually I thought I was buying the book when I got this. It has the certificate but no signature. Got it off CC BIN about a year ago. I sucked up 4 or 5 decent Cole Crime BINs too.
  3. Nice! Glows like a rainbow! The purples greens and reds in the blue water, man oh man! Now I gotta start searching for an upgrade. And definitely my favorite shark cover with the spear down the throat (and this is coming from a shark advocate!).
  4. yes, but I kinda wish my copy was't quite SO charming... ha ha.
  5. I gave it a conservative five, but i think it would grade higher. Theres very small spits top and bottom and small tear/wear around staples but otherwise clean bright and sharp.
  6. I was going through a few boxes and pulled out several non-pch books that I acquired over the past year. Never really considered them as a group but I really like it!
  7. I need to get used to seeing books in boxes with $3200 price tags.
  8. Yes, the line work is thicker, noticeable on the men's clothes and the detail in the capitol dome (although maybe that's from a richer color strike). But check out the white circle that's supposed to be the BG for the superior logo. Many of my Superiors look as if the registration is off, which would produce thicker lines, and also color bleeding into unintended areas. Check out the detail on the cover of Strange Mysteries 11, the area around the hand, phone and skull are so out of register that it almost looks like it was printed for 3D!
  9. Yes, sometimes it takes decades to develop the refined taste required to truly appreciate the AFS books!
  10. I totally admire the work of the EC artists, Engles was recently pointed out to me, also Wolverton etc, but I'm also a big fan of art by "insane" people, children, and folk artists. So yeah I guess I appreciate untrained artists with something to say. Maybe it's more of a style thing than a skill thing. Matt Fox, LB Cole, Fletcher Hanks. When you couple that style approach with the fantastic (not fantasy) and horror, then for me the "best" of the Farrell/Ajax/Superior type books have it all. I mean what's cooler than this??? The creator may not be a "good" artist, but I think this is good art!

  12. Hey All- This is my first sales thread on these here boards, I sell on eBay as Mayhem39. Here's the rules: -First Take in the thread wins. If we agree to a sales price via PM, and someone posts a Take prior to the PM winner posting their Take, the books go to the first Take in the thread. Clear? -Sorry but no International bidders please, I don't have time to deal with customs. -Shipping is $10.00. NO RETURNS ON THESE BOOKS. This is a low grade sale, and should only be purchased expecting low grade books. The books are not bagged and boarded, but will be securely shipped, wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard inside a USPS Priority Mail box. These books were graded at a glance, and may have additional defects that I missed. They are intended more as filler or reader issues, to be upgraded later. If you have specific condition questions please ask. Payment is via Paypal only. Thanks!!!
  13. I love that none are slabbed. They look so much better!
  14. Well lately the boards have been frustrating for me because people with super fast connections immediately scoop up everything golden, it’s like a competition who can get the most. Great for sellers if these sharks are feasting on their thread, but for buyers not so much. At the same time I’ve bought dozens of fine books here from cool folks, so there are plenty of opportunities. But at least on eBay and the auction sites I know I can the squire books if I want them bad enough and have the means.
  15. This thread is great- is there anyway to get rid of that poll on top of each page?? It’s super annoying on a phone.
  16. Wow the Eerie 25 is really something!! Thanks for posting.
